"Oh, Lord, when will I ever get this over it?!" Jennie screamed, frustrated, throwing her books and syllabus on her bed. She dived in the middle of her stuff as her hand slowly grabbed her laptop although her eyes were shut and her face was facing downwards on her bed. Jennie just couldn't take it anymore. "Seven book reviews, two essays, one paper, and two projects! And all of these have to be done in two weeks! These lecturers must be tripping! ARGHHH!!"

Jisoo just stirred her warm coffee in her favorite frog mug on the corner of their dorm room. As she sipped, she watched her room mate crash out like the world's ending. Well, maybe she would've been happier if the apocalypse was happening by then. Jisoo was so sure Jennie was in fact secretly wishing that a meteor would hit earth and make them all go extinct like the dinosaurs. "Well, if it's all due in two more weeks, why didn't you do it earlier?" She genuinely, curiously asked the younger. "You don't usually procrastinate."

"Duh, of course, I didn't! These fuckers gave me these assignments all in a sudden today. Also, the two projects were given last week, but I was a wreck in that invention competition thing!" Jennie sighed, completely devastated. "I don't have the energy or any physical and mental capabilities to do this anymore, for real." She really did hope her life was over instead of having to do any of these.

Jisoo was in communication science, of course she didn't know that Jennie's workload as a nutrition science undergraduate student would be that horrifying. However, she was trying to turn her gears in her head to help out her roomie.

"Alright, how can I help you?" asked Jisoo. She was willing to try although there's a low chance she could actually help instead of being a burden. "Maybe, your project or something?"

Jennie sat down on the side of her bed. She started thinking for a while before an idea finally formed in her head. "Well, I guess you can help with one thing." Jennie bit her lips, then turned towards her friend. "In one of my projects in the Food Security course, I'm supposed to interview people with this questionnaire."

"Okay, sounds easy," replied Jisoo. As a communication student, that was nothing.

"Wait, but there's a catch." Jennie simpered, unsure. "The questionnaire is complete with the informed consent and everything, so don't worry about that. However.." Jennie gulped her own spit. "I need to interview one last person I already promised.. and that person is Lisa."

"Out of anyone, you picked my crush?!"

"In my defense, she's the only one who hasn't been interviewed by anyone and she's only a year younger than me and in the same major as I am, so guess that was the easy way," explained Jennie as she shrugged. "So, can you help me?"

There was this awkward silence in the air for a while. "Well, it's probably a great chance to ask her to go out so–"

"Alright, I'm in," interrupted Jisoo. "But on one condition."

"Yes?"

"If my relationship with Lisa becomes shit instead, you're paying for this month's coffee bill," replied Jisoo. "Deal?"

Jennie nodded. "Deal."

The next thing Jisoo knew was that she was sitting in a coffee shop across from Lisa, her crush since Jennie and Jisoo entered college. Jisoo glanced nervously at Lisa, who was stirring her iced coffee, looking up at her with those soft, dark eyes. Lisa was dressed a little nicer than usual, with a faint blush dusting her cheeks, and her voice was softer than Jisoo had ever heard.

“So, um, is this, like, for an assignment?” Lisa asked, giving a shy smile that made Jisoo’s heart race. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, looking away, her fingers tapping gently against her cup.
