I run out of the cabin as fast as I can, my breath trying to catch me, and my lungs, they felt like they were about to explode any minute now. I let my legs carry me to the nearest store, the tears continue to stream down my face. I feel ashamed, embarrassed, angry, sad, lots of emotions stuck in my mind, flooding me. I knew I shoulsn't have played that game, knowing that sonehow that will be spilled afterall.
I pushed the doors open, making a really awful sound, surely getting attention from the people inside. They must have been scared seeing a teenager crying and about to break things down. I sighed in relief when I realised there are no customers chilling around except for the store lady who is now terrified and shocked at my sight.I would have been really embarassed, but I actually am now, for alnost destroyingg the store door. I sit at the nearest table and burst into tears there.
The lady left her counter and went to my side, probably thinking what a mess I have been.
"You know, last time I checked, sweet looking girls like you don't push the door so hard they almost break it." A voice said.
I looked up to her, seeing her appearance. She looks pretty young even with the wrinkles on her face, tellin me that she is probably in her early thirty's. Her dark brown hair, almost black, was tied up in a bun that is perfectly neat. and her eyes were a slightly dark shade of black.
"Sorry about that." I apologised, making the lady smile.
"So, tell me what is the crying all about?" The lady asked, lightly stroking my hair.
"It'a because of a dare which made me told about my parents. God, O hate talking about them because my parents, they left me and my sister on the damn woods when I was 5." I replied in between sobs.
I looked up to her, seeing her face tensed up a bit. She must have probably the same problem too.
"Maybe, there is a reason why they leave you." She replied.
"What can I do? I was supposed to be back at the cabin enjoying my summer but it turned out the opposite." I replied, more like whining.
"You know honey, only you can solve your own problems. Maybe you need some time for yourself." She has a point, only I can solve my problem.
"Thanks. Do you have some food?" I asked wiping the tears away, standing up.
"Of course, let me get them." She replies before she hurries to go get some.
She left for awhile but sooner later, she came back with a bag full of food and some other stuff I probably know isn't food.
"Thanks, how much is it?" I asked looking at the bag full of stuff.
"Nope, you don't need to pay anything. Now go and fix your problem." The lady replied before she smiled at me, returning it back.
"I don't know what I should do, I think I should go. If my friends came here please tell them that." I said as I left the store without bothering to hear her response.
I came back at the cabin and peeked at the window, bringing back the tears that already faded. There they are, my friends were still there, playing Truth or Dare, and they are happy, really happy. A thought came in my mind that maybe they aren't bothered with the loss of my prescence. The voices in my head are telling me that they can have a good time without me, making me hate my life even more.
