Cas' Point of View

Cas was silently eating his sandwich, he wasn't really hungry, but, he was doing it for Dean, who had told him to at least eat half of the ham sandwich.

Dean was in the bathroom, as Cas was forced to eat.

Castiel kept thinking about Dean, and all the little things he had been doing for a hospital patient.

All Cas could ask was why?

Cas was losing weight; but, the probably was, that he just couldn't get hungry, because half the things he ate made him throw up; the pills didn't work, nothing did.

Cas sighed, pushing the sandwich plate away, instead deciding on eating the jello; it was less stale than the shitty sandwich.

Dean walked out of the bathroom, pacing over to his chair, smiling at Cas, however Cas couldn't return the gesture.

"Hey, you okay?"

No, Cas wanted to reply, why would I be okay if I can't even eat right?

"Yeah, I'm just tired." Cas responded, moving his white, plastic spoon in the red jello.

"I can go-" Dean started, but Cas interrupted him.

"No, it's okay, I'm not tired tired, I just feel sore." Cas lied, taking some jello in his mouth.

"So what type of exotic food were you willing to try?" Dean inquired, grabbing the tray of food and pushing it far back, the red jello disappearing behind Dean.

"Oh, no, it's alright..." Cas started, "I don't need to finish my list Dean,"

"Well, I think you should, so...tell me, what food? Mexican? Thai? Something weird?"

"Uh, I've been wanting to try..." Cas awkwardly paused, warmth creeping up his cheeks, "scorpion,"

Dean raised a brow, "That is specific," he chortled, rubbing his chin, "Any reason why?"

"Well, I think it's highly unusual and unique for a person to eat a scorpion, and I don't know, I want to be different than anyone else."

"Alright, I'll find you some scorpions." Dean laughed, nodding.

Cas shook his head, chuckling.

Dean wasn't lying.

He paced in one night, a different gift bag in his hands, a charming smile on his face.

"That isn't another bottle of liquor right?" Castiel asked, sitting up, back aching with a dull pain.

"No, no..." Dean murmured, smile getting wider. Dean sat down, passing Cas the light, aqua bag, same bag where the alcohol beverage came in.

Cas grabbed it nervously, looking into it to find two scorpions on a long stick.

"Dean, how'd you-" Cas began, glancing at the boy.

"My brother has this friend, who knows this guy's uncle who sells scorpions to eat." Dean responded, shrugging.

"How do you act so normally while bringing dead scorpions in my room?" Cas asked unbelievably.

"Well, I've done it before." Dean joked, grinning once again. "Now eat Cas! They're still warm."
