Hey guys! This chapter reveals a big change. It's very short but I promise the next one will be longer! :D

Dean's Point of View
Dean lightly combed Castiel's hair, placing brief kisses on the temples of his forehead.
They were standing in front of the mirror, the same spot where Cas had given Dean a hickey, but not just any hickey; it was a lovebite that was the best one he had received, better than the girls he had slept with and dated, and it was marked on by a sick, dying man.
Dean subconsciously grazed his palm against his neck, tracing the invisible hickey that Cas had once left.
He continued brushing Cas' course, damp hair. Nowadays Dean had to wash him in the tub, of course Megan would offer that she would do it herself (since it is her job) but Dean always told her no.
Cas' baths were sort of beautiful to see.
Dean watched Cas stare into the sea of water in wonderment, moving his arms in the soapy bath as if he was casting a spell.
No, it wasn't at all odd at the sight of Cas in a bath.
It was enchanting.
Castiel's blue eyes casually outlined the edges of the tub, the bubbles that scarcely surrounded the water. An occasional smile as he looked at Dean.
This was the only time Cas didn't have a mask on.
And Dean cherished the few moments he didn't need it.
He kissed the silent mouth, their lips connecting tenderly, slowly turning passionate and moving; like the old days where Castiel could talk and move the way he wanted to.
Right now, Cas rested his hands on Dean's hips, pulling him closer.
"So beautiful." Dean mumbled against Cas' lips, a soft gasp escaped Castiel's lips as Dean drew long kisses down to the vein on his neck. The only sounds were Dean's comfortable words and Cas' sharp gasps. Suddenly, Cas choked out one simple word.
"Dean-" he whispered, Dean rose an eyebrow, pulling back.
"Did I just bring your voice back?" Dean chuckled, rubbing the nape of Cas' neck.
"I think you did." Cas rasped, laughing, touching his own throat in amazement.
Dean smiled, "I was missing that gorgeous voice of yours."
Castiel rolled his eyes, "I won't miss that cheesy remark."
Dean laughed, nodding as he stuffed his head in the crook of Castiel's neck. He smelled like disinfectant, the hospital consumed his scent.
But it didn't matter,
Because Cas had a voice
And that was all Dean wanted.

*a few weeks later*
After Cas' voice returned, he recovered in weeks.
It was like a dream, to see Cas' fresh pop of color return to his skin, to remove the mask and not be worried.
"It's quite a miracle." The doctors would say, "We were sure he was near death. But our treatment must've done something to help him reach health."
"When can I take him home?" Dean asked in excitement, holding on Cas hand as he still laid in that terrible bed, dressed in his wretched gown.
"Tonight you definitely can Dean." The doctor said, walking to the door, but before he walked out; he turned his head and smiled, "Good job for holding on Castiel, we are very proud of you."
The door shut and it was only the two of them, holding hands and smiling.
"How did this happen Dean?" Cas said, "I was dying."
"Maybe never letting go really did help huh?" Dean said.
"Remember when we first met?" Cas questioned, changing the subject. "You wrote your name on my board."
"Yeah...yeah I did My Everything."
There was a lapse of silence until Castiel spoke again.
"I was writing my will, when you weren't here in my room."
"You were?" Dean asked.
"Yes, I was-so sure I was going to die. Would you like to read them?"
Dean shook his head, "No Cas, I don't wanna read your will, because you aren't going to die."
And for the first time, Cas didn't argue, he accepted the fact that he was going to live.
Because he had never let go.

No, it's not over yet XD
Is this chapter rushed? I did skip a few weeks of his recovery, let me know what you think!
The next few chapters will describe how life is for the two of them.
This story is slowly wrapping up to a close and I just wanna thank everyone who is still reading and supporting me. <3
Have a great week and I'll update soon! :)
