Dean's Point of View
"Dean are you sure about this?"
"Of course I am Sammy!" Dean exclaimed in the phone. Sam stayed silent on the other line, shocked by how insane his older brother was. "Aren't you happy for me?"
"Um...yeah...but, Dean, I know you love Castiel and all that but-" a short pause, leaving Dean's breath hanging, "but, isn't he the guy you told me had less than 5 months to live?"
Dean swallowed hard, "Yeah."
Another break of cold silence.
"But, I love him Sammy, I've never felt this way for someone before."
Sam let out a soft sigh, "How long have you been dating him?"
"About 5 or 6 months."
"Dean, you're going too fast with this whole marriage thing, Ca-"
"He has less than 5 fucking months to live." Dean snapped, anger vibrating through the phone.
"Exactly. And which month are you on?"
"The second..." Dean mumbled, "But, I want him to live his life as much as he can."
"Dean, you aren't thinking straight."
"Because I'm not straight." Dean joked, but Sam didn't break a laugh, not even a chuckle.
"This isn't funny."
"I thought you would be happy for me!" Dean exasperated.
"I would've been...if your fiancé wasn't a person who was dying."
"You know what?" Dean spat, "I do not give a fuck if you think this is a bad idea, or if this is too quick, because I love him. I-"
"Lisa...You're forgetting that she's pregnant with your baby...Dean, get back to reality."
Dean grimaced, "I would never forget about that, I just want him to live some part of his life. Lisa is only a few weeks pregnant, anyways, she's not answering my calls or the door."
"I'm looking out for you, okay?"
"I don't need anyone to look out for me." Dean snarled, "I don't need another 'father figure' in my life. I need a younger brother who's happy for me."
"You have me," Sam said softly, "but I'm sorry...I'm not happy, I'm-I'm scared for you."
"Scared? For what?"
"I'm scared what will happen after he die-"
"Shut up." Dean growled, "Don't even say the words."
"Dean, please, listen-"
Dean hung up, the words of the younger Winchester talking to a dead line.
Dean knew this was a inexplainable idea...but, he didn't care if Sam wasn't happy for him. He was getting married to Cas, despite what people will argue about.
"Um, sir-" The man stated from the front counter, "You're holding up the line...if you aren't going to buy a ring, you might as well get out."
"Sorry," Dean muttered.
"Any selection for the female section? A delicate ring? Or a thi-"
