Deans' Point of View

Dean sat in the waiting room of the E.R, bouncing his knee out of worry and anger. There was a young girl sitting in front of him, maybe 9 or so, with a pixie cut and piercing eyes.

"Hi," the girl greeted, "Why are you here?"

Dean stared at her with weary eyes, "A..." He paused, "friend of mine got sick."

The child's eyes shined confusion, "He's ill?"

Dean nodded, and the girl frowned.

"My mommy is here," she murmured gently, "I wonder is she'll ever get out."

Dean let the silence settle in-his thoughts were rambling with Cas, Cas, Cas.

"He's more than a friend, isn't he?" The girl squeaked-Dean nodded again, and she smiled softly, all metal braces glinting under the strong florescent lights.

"How you know?" Dean asked.

"I could kinda see it in your eyes-" she looked down, "It's the way my daddy looks when mommy is sick."

Dean grimaced, "Your mom will be fine kid,"

She shrugged a little, moving back her dark bangs, "She always says she okay but I know she's lying."

"Kid-"

"My names' Charlotte, not kid."

Deans' heart fell down to his stomach, burning with acid and bitterness. Life seemed to remind him certain things at the worst of times.

"Okay," he paused, "Charlotte."

"Maybe you should stay,"

"What?" Dean questioned, raising a brow.

"Leave for college but stay with him...he never meant it."

Dean glared at the ground, "How do you even know this-"

"Come on Daddy, you promised him, that-" she whispered, her body turning blurry, "You would never let go-"

Dean woke up with a start, sweat dripping on his forehead, anxiety peaking through the curtain of the waiting room. The dreams replayed in his mind, a young girl reminding Dean how he lost the baby and how he shouldn't let Cas go.

"Winchester?" The male nurses' voice drew Dean out of the reoccurring thoughts. Dean stood up with bumps running over his body, arms prickling with goosebumps. "Castiel Novak is stabilized and fine to go home now. We ran a few tests, but, it was a harmless panic attack."

In Deans' opinion, panic attacks weren't always harmless-but, he nodded nevertheless, following the nurse into a close tight room, where a pale Cas lodged in a chair, not daring to look at Dean.

Castiel silently thanked the nurse, getting up and racing down the hallway. Dean followed him, and he let out a growl of command for Cas to slow down. Finally he caught up, and Dean pressed Cas against the bricked walk outside the hospital, breezy night air tickling Deans skin in a mocking form.

The grip on Castiel loosened slightly, but the glare became stronger; he felt Cas shudder beneath his eyes.

"I can't believe you," Dean snarled, the edge of Deans' voice shook, "I-I-" he paused, biting his lip hard enough for blood to draw. Dean hated himself for not being more angry for the act Cas cheated on him, instead, he's infuriated that a panic attack made him nearly lose his mind.  "I was worried, fuck..."
