Mary looked out the window biting the nail on her other thumb, her first thumb now shielded itself with a Band-Aid from the blades of her teeth. She could hear her nail clicking against her teeth.

Neon had been disinvited to breakfast, but it didn't matter, Neon didn't seem to want to come out anyway. Jesse had left some food for him so he wouldn't starve, and Goldie attempted to check up on him, but Neon hadn't answered any of his attempts of conversation and just sort of sat there.

Much like Kid.

Kid had been sitting, staring at her plate of a single toast, without moving or practically blinking. She didn't even eat it, she just pushed herself off the chair early and walked out of the room. We all found her in the common room staring out the window.

Mary's mind raced through these thoughts, as well as others that dared invade her mind. Soon Jason's words broke her thought, "you're biting your nail again."

Mary jumped at his voice and looked to her nail, it was a little damaged by her teeth. Jason was sitting on the footlocker of Mary's room, he had been trying to debrief her a couple of times over the last two days, but she's never been up for it until now.

But even then, Mary was still hostile about it.

"How about we start again?" Jason recommended, "What's your name?"

"Mary."

"Last name?"

"Don't have one."

"Ringleader on the job?"

"Jason Travellers and Harold Pep."

"What was the purpose of the mission?"

Mary turned to face him, "to arrest and capture the dark supernatural being that was murdering human mortals," she replied.

"Who were the murdered humans?"

Mary was about to speak, but she couldn't remember them... at least not all of them. As she tried to think, she ended up falling silent. Jason dismissed it. "I'll come back to it Mary," he informed, "What happened?"

Mary slowly walked forwards and sat on the bed of the bed facing away from him as she tried to think.

She managed to explain the whole situation, what had happened, when it did happen, and what Dr Meres had done. Jason was merely taking Mary's eventual ramblings in, and Mary didn't know where everything exactly came from.

She sounded like a teenage girl.

She had been rambling for maybe two minutes when she noticed and just stopped talking and collapsed her back on the bed. Jason turned to her, "why'd you stop?"

"I wasn't talking about the mission. I got off topic," she replied.

Jason nodded, she had. She had gone way off topic when she started talking about the girl the Doctor had most recently killed, or even when it came to the Doctor on her own. Mary spoke about religion, how it was against hers but also how murder probably wouldn't have been the answer to it if she was even Christian.

But this was also the entire point of a debriefing, so people don't dwell too much on it after the fact. But there was an underlying reason to debriefing Mary... and so far it wasn't a good one.

Mary's mind raced with accusations of herself, for herself, for the Ringleaders, for the Death Keeper. Her mind felt like it was attacking her.

"Mary... are you okay?" Jason asked.

Mary never liked those words, and they remained in the air like some sort stale smell. For a demon to ask a question like that is like a frog suddenly flying when it jumps, it wasn't natural.
