The spider continued to crawl across Kid's body.
She whimpered and whined as the troll came closer and closer. "My spider is very helpful," it informed.
Kid gulped as he went to grab her, but out of nowhere, someone fell from above and slammed blades against both his shoulders. Kid went wide eyed as he saw Goldie standing before her, "Hello, you seemed to be in a sticky situation," Goldie informed turning to Kid, the trolls was bellowing out in pain, "so out of my own courteousness, I am going to help you, is this okay?" he asked.
Kid nodded frantically.
Goldie practically bowed, "okay," he turned and faced the troll, "hello my ugly friend. I have some nice weapons to introduce to you," he said twisting his blades about fancily, "Faith and Kindness!" he went to attack, but something bounced off the troll's head and he felt backwards.
Mary landed a couple of metres from the toppled over troll and stood up straight, "if you want to get to the good stuff, Goldie, you need to skip the introductions," she informed bluntly taking out her own weapon; a long, sleek sword that gleamed with the lack of light. The troll got up and went to attack.
But its skin was so thick and covered in mould and crackling mud, Mary and Goldie never liked attacking a troll because of their huge size, stupid strength and natural protection.
Kid attempted to wriggle out of the sticky web, going back and forth, back and forth in an attempt to snap or break it. Her swaying weight caused the branch she was on to snap and she slammed into the ground in a painful heap.
Mary and Goldie continued to attack, swiping and, in Goldie's case, flailing randomly.
The troll wasn't trying to kill them though; it was just trying to get past them.
Kid propped herself on her elbows and tried to wriggle out of the tangled webs like a trapped caterpillar. She heard the many steps of the spider once more and watched it swing to a different tree before crawling and down, it stalked over to Kid. Kid whined in fright as it flared its fangs and hissed and growled.
Kid winced before it even bit her, her eyes screwed closed hoping it wouldn't be too painful.
It suddenly gave off a withering and screeching pain that made Kid open her eyes. Neon kneeled before her and cut through the thin layer of web around her body and the thicker one around her feet. "Next time when you escape, Kid, come find me," Neon grunted cutting the remaining parts of the web, he had kicked the spider somewhere in the woods, "Because I don't think you'd be spider chow if you stuck with me."
He managed to get through the remaining web. Kid pushed herself to her feet and clung onto Neon in a tight hug; she was trembling and close to crying. Neon attempted to hush her as he awkwardly patted her back, "Kid, come on. Man up, you're okay now," Neon informed. She still refused to let go of him as she whined at his physical protest.
Neon sighed as he remained at her height for a while longer, but went wide eyed, "watch out!" he exclaimed picking her up and launching himself to the side with her. Goldie screamed in fright as he got thrown into a tree and painfully slid down it until he got to the ground.
Mary was now fighting alone, she deflected most of the attempted swipes from the trolls, but she was growing most annoyed and tired. Three loud shots suddenly rang out in the world as Neon fired his gun at the troll's head, but they bounced off his head like they were pebbles. He growled as he rubbed his head like it was itchy and turned around. Mary was about to attack, but she was taken out by something powerful knocking her over and practically sticking her to the ground. She growled as she tried to sit up, it looked like she was pinned down by some spider webs. She grunted in effort, her weapons inches beyond her reach.
