The two of them remained in the attic, going out occasionally because Neon couldn't keep Live in.

She was such a handful!

Each time they went outside, it often resulted in someone either trying to attack him, someone getting chased by guards or, once, they cut through a rich man's house, practically scaring a maid half the death. Live had very sticky fingers as well, she stole apples, oranges, a bracelet, and even attempted to bring a stray dog with them back to the attic.

Not once had Neon seen Kid again since the day she had been dancing in that pub, and there was no sign of the Travellers, much to Neon's relief and dread.

He didn't know what he could do until Kid came back, and he didn't know how to get the attention of the Travellers before then.

For now though, he watched as Live laid on the ground just staring at the ceiling. The world outside was currently rainy, making both of them stay inside.

Live started rolling around lazily, letting off grunts of annoyance. "I'm bored," she whined.

Neon rolled onto his back and stared at the ceiling, "So I've heard."

She rolled on her stomach, "let's do something."

"I'm not going outside, Live," he replied.

Live was suddenly sitting on the bed, her legs over his and her back on the wall. She heaved a sigh as she played with her thumbs. Neon allowed his legs to remain trapped as he stared at the growingly fascinating ceiling.

Live sighed through her nose as she picked at the dirt under her fingernails. "Do you want to play a game then?" she asked.

Neon sat up, "what kind of game?"

"A verbal game," she replied allowing Neon to take back his legs. "I'll start; why did you want Kid back so badly?" Live asked looking to the ceiling, "She's fine where she is, so why are you in such a hurry to get her back?"

Neon shrugged, "I'm use to Kid, and the Travellers only know of Kid, not you."

She scoffed. "They already know of me, Neon," she informed smirking, "they've known for a while. They just haven't really figured out a way to open me up to them." A small streak of white suddenly appeared in her hair. Her fingers found their way to that lock of hair and softly stroked it. "That's why they left Kid on the Angels' electric torture thing," she informed rolling the hair in her fingers before it disappeared.

"They did that deliberately?" Neon asked.

Live shrugged. "I guess they wanted to make sure I was actually there, and not some weird illusion." She smiled and looked to Neon as he sat up, "Your turn."

Neon frowned as he looked around the room for a few moments, "Are you the reason Kid is who she is?" Neon asked.

Live raised an eye brow, "Can you explain further?"

"Kid was Jane Princely before she was Kid the Representative, were you the reason she became a Representative?" he asked.

Live rolled her shoulders, "I guess you could say that. But I didn't formally meet Kid until we took her to the island and she woke up," she informed. "I helped him find her, but she was unconscious the first time I saw her."

Neon had heard Dominick's name several times, but other than knowing he was practically their friend, protector and 'master,' he hadn't actually heard anything about him.

"Who is Dominick anyway?" Neon asked.

She smiled, "you'll meet him soon enough," she replied, "You can learn more from him from the book you have."
