Epilogue

Some time later...

Everybody's dancing in the moonlight.

Adam spun Lute around the dancefloor. She looked radiant in her white dress. Adam knew his face would hurt from smiling the whole day, but he couldn't help it. He was just so happy. He couldn't believe he was here with Lute in Paris, dancing with her at the Ritz Ballroom. A few years ago, this life would have seemed unbelievable and unattainable. Yet here he was, against all odds, with the love of his life.

Everybody's feelin' warm and bright.

Lute just kept looking at Adam like this was all a dream. She was sure she would wake up, and it would be over. She had to keep reminding herself this was real and she was here with Adam. That she didn't die on the battlefield but was reborn. She was happy and safe, all thanks to Adam. She loved hearing their song play in the background, knowing she was alive and in the moment. Lute was finally at peace.

It's such a fine and natural sight.

Sera watched like a proud mother as Adam and Lute danced. When Adam first told her that he and Lute were moving to Paris, Sera felt sad. She was going to miss their fun antics and upbeat attitude. She was going to miss the chaos they brought everywhere they went. Sera knew it would be best if Adam left the country. There wasn't anything here for him anymore. He had changed from the sad, broken man to a happy gentleman. Sera smiled as Adam lifted Lute into the air.

Adam and Lute both knew they couldn't heal completely, and it would take years to get over the initial trauma and flashbacks. Lots of therapy and medication adjustments awaited them. When Lute screamed out into the night, Adam was there to hold her. When Adam would be fighting with his demons, Lute would sit with him. Through this journey of life, they would be there for one another no matter what. After all, they knew how to find harmony in chaos.

And that's a wrap! I want to thank everyone who followed me for this crazy story, and if you're reading this after it's been completed, thanks for giving me a try. I'm actually sad this story has come to a close. I have enjoyed writing these two so much.

On a happier note, I will continue to write for Adam and Lute. Their next story will be a VampireXVampireHunter story called "Youth without Age and Life without Death" that I am excited to share!
