 Jordan-13

Hank was pacing in his cell frantically. He knew yelling and screaming wouldn't do or solve anything, and he didn't wanna make things worse for his daughter by acting stupid.

"Hank"

The older man turned and was relieved to see his senior detective there with his daughter; he could finally breathe knowing she was safe.

Antonio glared at one of the cops. "Open the gate. Now."

The cop opened the cell gate. Once it opened, Antonio let go of Jordan's hand, and she bolted, running to her father. The older man gently swept his daughter in his arms, even though it hadn't been long since being away from his daughter, it still felt like an eternity.

Hank closed his eyes as he held his daughter, the sweet scent of her shampoo hit his nose. Strawberries and vanilla filled his nose, trying to make a memory of it. The teen buried her face in his shirt, finding his faint scent of cologne mixed with gunpowder. To most, it wasn't the best smell, but for the teen, it calmed her.

After a moment, the older father pulled her back and started checking her over for any injuries. "Are you alright, honey? You're not hurt, are you?" He asked his daughter, brushing her hair back.

She shook her head. "I'm okay. Are you alright?" She gently caressed his cheek.

His larger hand took hers. "As long as you're alright, I'll be fine."

Antonio stepped forward. "Hank, we don't have long. What the hell is going on?"

Hank slightly adjusted his daughter in his hold as his mood changed. "I'm being set up."

"That part is clear. Who would set you up?"

It hadn't taken him long to give a name. "Damon Mannings. I put him away. I was with Jo one day and caught him staring at her. He's the only one I know right now who did this. It's a revenge ploy."

"We'll look into him and watch Jordan. We already have a plan in play. Just please don't make things worse for yourself."

"As long as Jordan's safe, that's all that matters to me." He brushed some of his daughter's hair back from her forehead.

"Time's up." The cop said. "Wrap it up."

Unwillingly, Hank passed his daughter back over to his detective. Jordan didn't wanna leave her father, but she had no choice. She didn't fight as she was back with Antonio; she was physically and mentally drained as she fell asleep. Hank softly kissed her forehead.

"I love you, my little love."

Her eyes fluttered open, and she smiled. "I love you too, daddy."

"Be strong and brave for me, honey. I'll be home soon."

"I promise, Daddy."

"That's my girl."

"We'll get him, Hank," Antonio assured his boss.

"I know."

Antonio turned to leave with Jordan as she fell asleep in his arms. He went back to his team as they looked to him.

"I got a name," Antonio said with a soft voice, not wanting to wake Jordan. "Hank said to look into Damon Manning. He showed up around him and Jordan one day, and now this happens."

"I remember the name," Alvin spoke. "He had multiple drug charges, weapon charges, sexual assault, and even more domestic charges. It took time to build a solid case on him, but Hank and I did. He was sent away. During his time in prison, his wife left him and took their son."

"He blames Voight and tries to ruin Voight's name and get Jordan taken from him. He figured if he lost his son because of Voight, then he'd get Jordan taken from her father." Jay spoke from his spot.

"Sounds like an eye for an eye," Adam commented.

"Until we catch him, Jordan doesn't leave our sight or protection," Trudy said.

"We'll start tomorrow, it's late, and we all need sleep," Antonio said, hoisting Jordan up more. "Tomorrow, we look into Damon and go from there."

"I'll keep Jordan tonight. Tomorrow, while she's at school, Kim and Sean will be her detail." Trudy says.

They all left. Antonio walked over to Trudy's car and laid Jordan carefully in the backseat and covered her up. Once make sure Jordan was alright and safe, the team headed out for the night.

From afar, Damon was watching, and he hit the steering wheel. He hadn't expected Hank to have that much backup for his daughter. But it wasn't the end yet. He still had Hank out of the way; now, he just had to find a way to get Jordan, and one way or another, he would. If it's the last thing he does.
