Wow it's been ages since my last upload, but I've been on holidays, starved of wifi and internet access! But I did spend some time writing some new chapters and this one is a personal favourite of mine so far :) It's in Tom's POV so I hope you like it!!!
Not completely edited :)

Tom's POV
"Tom, it's real. Just as real as anything else here. As real as Amity's crush on you which you fail to see and she hasn't told me but it's obvious, as real as how much school blows and as real as Oliver Fern still being in that damn hospital bed! This. Is. Real."
She couldn't have been any more straightforward and blunt. Terrie had a habit of that when talking about things she was serious or passionate about, but that was too far. Amity's crush? The whole school knew about that. I loved her as a friend, but if I wanted anything more than that, I would've done something about it when I first found out about it. Terrie crossed the line when she mentioned Ollie. He was my best mate. My truest friend. And she just had to go and blatantly mention him casually, as if he didn't mean that much. Hence why I walked away and left her with Brody. Or the guy who looked the same and claimed to be a ghost thing.
I didn't know where I was headed; I just knew I didn't want to be at school anymore. I ran into Amity on the way out to my car. She grabbed my waist and I think she asked where I was going, but I pushed her off, in my own zone. It was rude and she was probably crushed, but I needed to get away and out. My long legs carried me to my car and I pulled my keys out of my pocket, but in the hurry I was in, I fumbled with them and dropped them on the ground. Hissing out a curse, I squatted to grab them and jumped when I saw Brody leaning on my car.
"What do you want?" I was eager to leave and wanted him gone.
"You need to come to terms with this Tom. I am as good as here and Terrie is going to need you. Yes you've both been through one heck of an experience, but you Tom are not the only one affected. Terrie is suffering just as much as you though you wouldn't know from how she acts. Give her, and me, a chance."
I was hesitant. He was dead. This shouldn't be happening. I knew Terrie was smart, but she tended to be gullible. I needed time to process everything. So I told Brody to bugger off.
"Get off my car. I need to get out of here and think all this over. I'll get back to you."
Thankfully, he obliged, pushing his body off my car and crossing his arms.
"Don't take too long. Terrie's gonna need you."
I rolled my eyes and unlocked my car, sliding smoothly into the driver's seat and starting her up. The familiar purr of the engine calmed me partially and I relaxed into my seat. I turned the AC on and cranked the radio up, allowing some old rock classics and their guitar solos to sooth my mind.
I wasn't even paying attention to where I was driving. I was just driving. Vibrant green trees and shrubbery flew past as my speed slowly increased and climbed above the speed limit. I didn't even care anymore. I lost my older sister less than a year ago and she was the only person I could talk to about anything. Apart from her, all I had was Ollie, and now I didn't even have him. Terrie and Amity were great friends, but definitely couldn't measure up to my sister or Ollie.
My speedometer crept up to 100km/h in a 60 zone. The adrenalin flowed freely in my veins, filling me with confidence and invincibility. I laughed before coasting around a corner, almost skidding out. It was a close call, but I managed to save it as the tires squealed against the pavement and the car's momentum flew the opposite direction to what I wanted. The car hopped the curb for a moment prior to me fixing the direction of the car. I exhaled in relief and pulled into a car park, getting the stupid ticket to let me park.
