"Violence against Adam, everywhere says no sis."

He held his hands up in defence, his eyes sparkling with mischief. He was totally going to try and get me back later on. Poop. He pulled me in for another bone crushing hug which I gladly returned. I saw no sign of Indie either, which was a plus in my eyes. I wasn't her hugest fan, but Brody seemed to like her and she hadn't actually done anything bad that I knew of, that is until Tom opened his mouth. But I'd talk about that later with him when things were less awkward with feelings obstructing everything.

"You used the uni card to get me away from my friends? Really? YOU'RE A USER!" I practically screamed in his face, trying not to crack up.

"Mate, I'm no user. I just couldn't wait to see you, soooo I decided to come a couple weeks early! I bought you a present?" He tried.

I was sold. "You're forgiven, I love you forever, where's my gift?" I got out, a little greedily.

Pulling out a black velvet jewellery box from his pocket, he seemed apprehensive. "I wasn't sure if you'd like it. But I had specific instructions that I had to give this to you on this exact date. Twenty-fifth February."

That had me stepping back. Specific instructions? What kind of psycho planned this game. Was it like in 'Pretty Little Liars' where A would try and set them up with crappy luck and stuff? I was in two minds about opening the gift, when Adam rolled his eyes and opened it  for me, revealing the silver ring inside. Curious, I moved forward to get a better look. It was a thin silver band with a single diamond inlaid in it. I cautiously removed it from the box to examine it further. Rotating the ring in my fingers, I noticed an inscription on the inside.

Forever yours, T.

With love, Jude.

He just kept following me everywhere. Legit. It was as if I couldn't get away from him since I glimpsed him at lunch on Friday. His presence made me feel like I was both drowning and being saved all at the same time. I couldn't breathe, yet my chest had never felt lighter. I began hyperventilating and clutched at my throat, backing into the front door and sliding down it, gasping for air. The panic attack ensued and Adam's eyes went wide. He dropped the box he was holding and rushed over to me, yanking the necklace out of my hands and swiftly reading the inscription.

"Shit," he muttered. Well, thankyou captain obvious.

He ran to the kitchen and found a paper bag, I didn't know we had those, and gave it to me to breathe in and out of. Slowly, but surely, my breathing evened out and I relaxed. Was Jude purposely trying to kill me? Make me join the other side with him and Brody? That selfish hoe. It was probably Brody's idea to begin with. I wouldn't put it past him. But seriously, fuck, Jude had the nerve to get my brother of all people to be the one to give me the locket? I was so hitting Jude next time I saw him. He deserved it for that.

"You alright sis?" Adam's eyes were flooded with concern.

I nodded, coughing a couple times. "I'm fine. Just, wasn't expecting that."

"Neither was I. Sure, Jude gave me the instructions back before, you know, but I didn't expect this. I just thought it was gonna be a nice piece of jewellery. But this, man, I'm sorry Ter. I can take it back if you want."
