I can't believe I hid in the storeroom. Yes, I needed to stay away from her and Cole, but I felt like a twelve year old going into high school for the first time. Ugh, I was so lame. I even did the whole poke your head out thing to check if she was gone. She didn’t stay long in the shop, complaining about every pair of shoes she saw. Bloody picky. The salesperson tried her hardest to please Indie, but that obviously wasn't going to happen, so Indie left. Oh yeah, I convinced the sales lady that Indie was my arch nemesis who wanted to kill me, so she let me stay hiding in the storeroom. Such a nice lady.
But now it was confirmed; Indie was back in town. To fuck shit up.
Okay, maybe I was assuming that part of it, but shhh. The ghosts all thought she was here for that too. I had to feel for Adam, dating that tramp. Maybe he'd open his eyes and dump her, going for Ames instead. I couldn't deny, those two had chemistry. It was really weird actually. One minute you'd be having a conversation with the two of them, then suddenly they both stop replying, having some intense staring competition. The sexual tension in the room when that happened was way too high for my liking. I mean, it was my BFF and my bro. Cool, but there were some things a girl didn't need to know. Such as sexual encounters between said BFF and bro.
Anyway, yeah I hid in the storeroom, then bought the beautiful silver heels. What? I wasn't going to leave until I did what I came into the shop to do in the first place. The lady even wished me luck, saying that Indie seemed like a class A bitch. I hugged her. But what did I do once I left that shop? No, I didn't try and find a ghost to let them know. I stalked Indie like the full on spaz I am. Why I did that, I have no clue. I was trying to be stealthy, hiding behind street signs and tiptoeing around when Lara popped up beside me, trying to hold a laugh in.
"Terrie, if this is you trying to be sneaky, I'd give up. I'm surprised she hasn't seen you yet. Blind bimbo."
I dropped the stealth act. Damn.
"So much for you protecting me, Lara, she almost caught me earlier!" I exclaimed.
She shrugged. "I was busy eating a donut. Soz." She just sozzed me. What.
Rolling my eyes, I gently pushed her shoulder. "At least we know she is back in town for something."
Lara nodded, her short hair bobbing as she did so. She'd changed her clothes, now in a black crop top, denim jacket and burgundy high waisted shorts. Her makeup was simpler than it had been the first time I'd seen her, but it still screamed 'Fuck you all, I'll be me.' Good on her! I was all for individuality. With Lara distracting me however, I lost track of Indie. I guessed I'd be seeing her around with Adam anyhow. Speaking of, I hadn't spoken to him since Ames had told him Indie was evil. I should really check in about that. I loved him and hopefully he didn't hate me for what I'd said. It was pretty full on. And kinda rude I guess. Eh, that's siblings for you. I still wanted to make sure he was okay though. As long as I was never alone with Cole and Indie, that'd be great.
It was edging up on only five weeks before the anniversary and deadline. Yet, only seven ghosts had turned up. The next however many better hurry up if their things were going to take ages like the six I was stuck with currently. I could deal with the TCT. They left me pretty much alone, all capable of getting their shit done on their own. Good on them! But Brody, Jude and Lara? Not them, they needed me. Pooheads. Stupid fate intertwining all of our fates together. Just to be annoying. Of course I loved Jude and Brody was fun sometimes. When he wasn't being a bigger skitz than me. Which wasn't very often to be honest. What a dumb.
