"I love you."
"I love you more. Forget him."
"I don't even care anymore."
I glanced between Jude, Oliver and Tom. They all were floating around me, changing from solid bodies to ethereal ones. It was making me dizzy.
"Willingly or not, I will take you as mine," all three of them chanted before they merged into a projection of Cole, making me jump back in shock. His eyes glowed black, giving me a menacing stare as he advanced towards me.
I took steps back, crying out when I hit a rough wall. Cole's form became real and landed on the ground in front of me, causing me to gasp out in pain when he forced himself against me, holding a knife to my neck. The edge of the blade dug into my skin, slicing a thin cut. Whimpering, I attempted to push him away, failing as he got hold of my hands.
"I have to help my sister to move on, Terrie. I can't be stuck here anymore."
Bolting upright in bed, I clutched at my neck, my fingers scrambling to find the non-existent cut. I knew I was audibly gasping and sobbing. Only Adam was home tonight, my parents were visiting my grandparents somewhere, and Adds slept like a rock. I tried to gain control of my breathing, resting my hands on my shoulders as I calmed down. No one was here. No ghost was here, no people. And for some reason, I was okay with that. Then my phone started vibrating on my bedside table. Unplugging it from the charger, I checked caller ID and the time, which happened to be about two in the morning. Ugh.
"Hi?" I answered in a small voice. The sobs were still there, but I was trying as best I could not to let them show.
"Terrie? Are you upset?" Okay, obviously I wasn't trying very well.
"Don't worry about me Oliver, what's up?"
"I'm coming over. I'll tell you then, but I want to be able to help you, you're definitely not okay right now. See you in fifteen."
He hung up before I could object and I placed my phone back down, surprised. I took a quick check of what I was wearing, making sure I was decent, before wiping away any stray tears. Fuck makeup. It was two am. The nightmares had become more frequent in the past couple of weeks, concerning me. I didn't want to have a full on breakdown anytime soon and I sure as hell didn't want medication back. I could cope with the dreams, because that's all they were. Though, the one I'd just had, Cole mentioned a sister. I should've found out his last name when I could've. A tiny voice in the back of my mind whispered that Indie was his sister, but I wasn't going to make the connections unless I had all the facts. Man, too many siblings around this place. Me and Adds, Brody and Jake, Tom and Lara, now possibly Cole and Indie. At least Ames was a single child.
Everyone knows we wouldn't cope with more than one of her.
She's crazy.
A tap on my window caught my attention. Crawling out of bed, I opened the window and scowled when a tiny stone hit me in the forehead.
"I'm right here Oliver, stop throwing rocks at my face!"
He blushed and looked at the ground. "Sorry. Wanna come down?"
