A few rounds in, some of the girls I wasn't as familiar with lost interest, discovering they weren't in the same close group as Brody, Del, Ames, Tom, Oliver, Jude and I. Either Oliver had lost his memory or he was under ghost magic, since he didn't recognise Jude with the others. Sitting in the circle, I had Jude on my left, Del on my right with everyone else across from me. Amity kept making suggestive faces at me concerning Jude. To her, he was just some hot guy I'd found and she thought that hooking us up was a good idea. Five points to Ames for her brilliant idea…
Brody spun the bottle and it landed on me. We'd installed the rule that if you choose to chicken out of a truth or dare, you had to take a shot of tequila. And tequila was gross. So people were avoiding that if they could. So far everyone had done everything except for Tom who'd taken a couple shots. I kept glancing at Oliver to check he was still alive and looking healthy. God, he looked great. And on cue, Jude wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me to him. Stupid jealous dead boyfriend. It was his idea for me to move on!
"Truth or dare Tezbez?" Brody asked, quite cheerfully.
The alcohol was causing all kinds of inhibitions to leave my brain, so I went with "Dare!" I'd sort of jumped up a bit when I said it, ending up with me falling into Jude even more. Ames shot me a thumbs up and I rolled my eyes. I almost blurted out, 'He's my boyfriend silly' but catching myself at the last second, I remembered she didn't know anything about that. Brody put on his thinking face as we all watched him and waited for the dare.
"I dare you to spend fifteen minutes in your bedroom with Oliver." He seemed ecstatic with his plan. Del and Tom weren't so happy. I could feel the anger radiating off Jude beside me. Oliver was a blank page, I had no idea what he was thinking. Sighing, I stood up, careful not to accidentally flash anyone. I gestured for him to follow me as he got up. We went upstairs, me flipping Brody off as we went, causing him to cackle like a maniac. Oliver chuckled softly behind me. We passed a ton of people dancing as we got to the staircase. Adam raised his eyebrows at me when he saw who was following me. I mouthed 'truth or dare' at him and he nodded, getting off my case and heading into the back. In search if Amity was my guess.
Finding my key, I unlocked my door and Oliver proceeded to go in. I followed, locking the door behind me; I didn't want any randoms trying to come and hook up in here. Facing Oliver, I exhaled and sat on my bed next to him. We were quiet, the muffled music the only background noise. I glanced at the clock so I would know when the fifteen minutes was up.
"Great party Terrie."
My eyes roamed his face, seeing him looking shy and nervous. I smiled, trying to make him feel more comfortable. I knew this wasn't really his scene.
"Thanks, Oliver. You know you didn't have to come tonight. I know it's not really your thing."
"But you're here." There goes my heartbeat.
"You, uh, you shouldn't say things like that." I edged away a bit from him. But of course, he just copied my motion, moving closer to me.
"No? So what's the deal with you and that guy who looks weirdly like Jude?" Oh shit on a pancake.
