His eyes locked onto Starfania, his tone firm yet trusting. " Starfania, I need you there since you are the new Dragon Savior, but I want you to lead this meeting. "

A surge of responsibility settled heavily on Starfania's shoulders, she met his gaze with determination. " I'll be there, Lyam. I'll make sure to have a plan ready. "

He gave a curt nod, satisfied, before turning away to assemble his troops, his voice ringing out as he called his commander to action. As Starfania watched him move with absolute confidence, her own thoughts charmed in turmoil. The weight of what lay ahead pressed down on her. Was she truly ready for this? Could she lead them to victory? Starfania clenched her fists, inhaling deeply. No. She wouldn't let fear control her.

She needed to be brave not only for all the dragons of Avalon but also for her friends. Starfania didn't want her friends to be in danger over the risk of her being discovered as the princess of VulcanFire. Her role as the new Dragon Savior was one she must carry. With a deliberate exhale, she straightened her back and steeled her resolve. This was her path–unpredictable, daunting, but her nonetheless. If she was to be the Dragon Savior, she would embrace it fully. " Starfania! STARFANIA! "

The urgent call jolts Starfania out of her thoughts. Spinning around, she saw Aeron and Violet, their eyes filled with concern. Vi gently grabbed Starfania's hands, her voice quick and worried. " Are you okay? "

She blinked, then smiled, shaking off the lingering weight of hesitation. " Yes, I'm fine. "

She struggled to admit the truth, the weight of it pressing against her chest like a stone. Despite the questioning look from Aeron and Vi, she resolved to keep it to herself. For now, the words felt too heavy to speak. Yet, they didn't push her. Aeron reached for Starfania's hands, his fingers wrapping around her in a firm but gentle grasp. His expression held quite concern, his perceptiveness cutting through her silence, but he didn't pry. Instead, he squeezed her hand–a silent promise, a reassurance that he was here, no matter what. Starfania squeezed back, her heart swelling with gratitude.

They remained together, filling the hours with conversation that drifted from lighthearted stories to serious strategy, all an attempt to distract themselves from the storm looming ahead. Watching Aeron, Vi, and the dragons in the warm glow of the evening filled her with a rare sense of peace. They were her family, her unwavering foundation. As Starfania lounged on the couch, she let her hands move instinctively, sketching a portrait that captured this moment–Aeron deep in thoughts, Vi laughing softly, Atlas and Drogo resting nearby. She wanted to preserve it, to hold on to this fragment of time before everything changed. When she finally put down her pencil, a smile tugged at her lips. Whatever VulcanFire had planned, she was ready.

Hours slipped by until a sharp knock at the door jolted Aeron from his seat. He moved swiftly to answer it, revealing a soldier standing in the dim corridor. With a serious tone, the soldier addressed Starfania. " Miss Starfania, they are ready for you. "

Aeron stepped aside, allowing the guard to look at Starfania. Without hesitation, she followed, her pulse steady despite the anticipation thrumming in her vein. Atlas followed right behind his rider. Just as they were about to leave, Aeron reached out, his fingers brushing against Starfania. His voice was low and steady. " You'll know what to do when the time is right. "

Starfania met his gaze, nodding in understanding. With that, he released her hand, and she turned towards the soldier, ready to follow. Right when Atlas passed Aeron looking at him with those midnight eyes. Telling him in owns language that he will keep an eye on her.
