KAMILA HADN'T BEEN allowed to leave the house for nine days now. Nine! Her attendance was thankfully cleared when her mom told the principal and her soccer coach that she'd bee a victim to the plants attacking Central City, the soccer team even sent her a get well soon care package.
Wally also came over whenever possible, but between his parents worrying about his broken arm and Kamila's not wanting her to do literally anything the past week and a bit, all they really did was... lay in her bad and watch movies.
"-okay look, I'm not saying she's a stalker, but she saved this Kleenex you used, and she said she was going to do some kind of... African voodoo with it to make you like her," Regina George said, looking away from Arron Samuels and over to Cady Harron, who was waving excitedly.
Kamila and Wally were sat against her headboard, her laptop on the bed infront of her and a bowl of popcorn (with added Nutella and salted butter) was balanced between them. Kamila's broken ribs and Wally's broken arm were on opposite sides, so it was easy for them to ignore them.
Kamila was leaning against Wally, her head resting more on his shoulder than she was holding it up. Wally's hand was laced with hers, and his casted hand was being used to carefully eat popcorn. In reality, his arm was healed within days, but his neighbours saw him with the cast on and so did his classmates... so yay, fake injuries!
"Cady or Regina?" Kamila asked him, watching the party scene play out. "Like I know she's evil, but still."
"Cady, but again, that's because she's less evil..." Wally answered, "she completely ruined Regina and everything, but she had some motivation."
"Okay I meant who you thought was hotter, but I appreciate the answer," Kamila joked.
"Yeah I thought so, but it felt like a trap," he joked in return, "if we're going based off looks... you look more like Regina. So Regina, by far."
"Mm..." Kamila nodded, "Cady is gorgeous, but I feel like we've established I have a thing for redheads."
On the screen, Arron and Regina kissed and Cady stormed out. That gave Kamila an idea.
"Hey, we should do a Mean Girls couple costume for my birthday," Kamila suggested, "like you could be Arron, dress like a football player and everything!"
Wally chucked, "love how you still call Halloween your birthday."
"Hey I don't see you complaining when I throw my birthday party every year!"
"I still don't know how your parents still let you throw it! You'd think after Jackson and Micheal broke into the shed for Gabby to hotbox... they'd learn their lesson."
"Yeah well... they don't exactly know how big the parties get..."
Alright, a bit of backstory:
Kamila's family goes trick or treating in different cities every year. It was a tradition Alex's family came up with, and it was one that allowed Gemma and Daniel to go on trips to other cities for a few days out of the week. When Kamila was 12, she stoped going out and started spending the night with Selina and her school friends. Her mom and step dad however would still take little Gemma and Daniel out to different cities or towns, as long as Kamila was at a friend's house for the night.
Sure, it meant spending her birthday night without her family, but the pay off is great.
As she got older, the last fall before she started high school, her parents started allowing her to stay home alone. Maybe invite Selina Gabby Charlie and Micheal if they were free and have a small party with them. Eventually more people found out about the party, and more people started showing up... in only two years it grew out of control.
