Wei Wuxian and Wangji immediately let go of each other, startled by the sudden voice. Both of them looked shocked and terribly embarrassed.
Yibo let out a small awkward laugh. "Uh… I think I came at a wrong timing."
He lightly elbowed Sean Xiao Zhan beside him as if trying to hide his second-hand embarrassment. Sean remained calm and expressionless as always.
Wangji quickly composed himself. "Yibo, baby… you’re awake. Come inside."
Sean gently pushed Yibo’s wheelchair into the room.
To escape the awkwardness of the moment, Wei Wuxian quickly spoke first.
"So, Bobo… how are you feeling?"
Yibo blinked, a little shy but trying to act normal.
"Y-Yeah, I’m alive… I’m right here in front of you."
He hesitated, fumbling with his words. "Umm… Mr… Ba… Mr. Wei… h-how are you? You… you were shot—"
Wei Wuxian chuckled softly, unable to hide the warmth in his voice. He could clearly tell that his son wanted to call him Baba, but still felt hesitant — maybe it would take time. But the very fact that Yibo was trying made his chest feel warm and painfully happy.
"I’m alive too," he replied with a small smile, "Right here in front of you."
Yibo immediately puffed his cheeks, visibly sulking.
He hated how his father had answered him in the exact same way he had replied just moments ago — word for word.
Yibo pouted dramatically. " Deda!!!!!You forgot about me the moment you got this old man back in your life." He pointed accusingly at Wei Wuxian.
Wei Wuxian raised a brow. "Old man? Who are you calling old? Look properly—I’m still a breathtakingly handsome young man."
Yibo scoffed. "Yeah, a forty-year-old young man."
Wei Wuxian clutched his chest in fake heartbreak. "Even if I’m forty, I’m still so stunning that people can’t help but admire me. Especially your deda—he still worships this handsome face… and loves me a lot."
Wangji’s ears immediately turned scarlet.
Yibo rolled his eyes. "I seriously don’t get what my dada sees in you. I tried setting him up with other men and women so many times, but he never agreed."
Wei Wuxian froze. "You… tried to set your dads up with other people?"
Yibo nodded casually. "Yeah. You weren’t here, and my dada was single. As his responsible son, I thought: why not help him find a partner? But he never gave anyone a chance."
Wei Wuxian smirked and turned to Wangji. "Of course he didn’t. His heart already belongs to me."
Wangji’s ears went even redder.
Sean simply stood silently, watching the chaotic drama unfold like a live soap opera.
Wei Wuxian now looked at his son seriously. "Forget whatever you did before. Now, help me fix things with your dada permanently… so I can officially make him mine forever."
Yibo blinked. "Why should I help you? What do I gain?"
Wei Wuxian snapped his fingers dramatically. "Plenty! Look—I took a bullet for your deda. That shows how much I love him. If you help me win him back permanently, you will also benefit. You’ll get an additional handsome dad—who’ll take care of this dada for you. Two dads, extra care. Isn’t that a win?"
Yibo paused, tilting his head as though calculating profits like a true businessman’s son.
Then he smirked.
"Hmm… two hot dads spoiling me? A billionaire duo parenting me like their precious prince? Sounds like a luxury upgrade."
