Finally… three months later, the time had come.

At the hospital, Wei Wuxian, Yuan, and Yibo stood nervously outside the delivery room. Mrs. Kim was by their side, and Yanli had come as well. The air was thick with anticipation, each of them fidgeting in excitement and nerves.

After a few tense moments, the doctor emerged, smiling warmly. In her arms was the tiniest, cutest baby girl.

Wuxian’s eyes softened immediately. He stepped forward carefully, cupping the little girl in his arms. " My daughter…"  he whispered, awe and love in every syllable.

Yibo and Yuan rushed forward at once, each vying for the first chance to hold their little sister.

" Give her to me first, Dad! I’m the older one, I should hold her first!"  Yuan exclaimed, puffing up proudly.

Yibo frowned, crossing his arms. " No, it’s my turn! Older siblings get to take responsibility first!"

" Excuse me,"  Yuan shot back, " I’m the eldest! That makes me first priority!"

Yibo stuck out his lip, voice rising, " But the younger sibling always has a bigger claim! So it’s my turn!"

A full-on playful bickering erupted between the two boys, their faces red with excitement and mock indignation.

Wuxian sighed, trying not to laugh. Gently, he handed the baby to Mrs. Kim. " Take care of this little one… and make sure to handle these two big brothers too,"  he said with a small smile.

Both Yibo and Yuan pouted furiously. " This isn’t fair! We wanted her first!"

Ignoring them for the moment, Wuxian turned to the doctor. " And how is my husband now?"

The doctor chuckled softly. " He’s fine, just a little weak from the delivery. He’s unconscious for now, but he should wake up soon. We’re moving him to his room shortly."

Wuxian nodded, relief flooding his features.

Moments later, inside the room, Wangji lay resting, still unconscious. Wuxian sat beside him, gently stroking his hair, murmuring softly as if to soothe him back to consciousness.

Meanwhile, Yibo and Yuan’s playful squabble continued outside the crib. Both were trying to claim their little sister first, voices rising and pouting faces flaring. Yanli and Mrs. Kim found themselves mediating between the two, trying not to laugh at the chaos unfolding.

Not long after, Wangji stirred, eyelids fluttering as consciousness returned. The room smelled faintly of baby powder and warmth, the soft hum of monitors filling the quiet. Wuxian remained at his side, hand resting gently on Wangji’s arm.

" Hey… you’re awake,"  Wuxian whispered, relief coloring his tone.

Wangji blinked slowly, disoriented, before his gaze fell on the tiny bundle in Mrs. Kim’s arms. " …Is that…?" His voice was soft, fragile, tinged with awe.

Wuxian leaned closer, smiling. " Our daughter, Lan Zhan. She’s finally here."

Wangji’s hand instinctively reached toward her, trembling slightly. Wuxian guided it gently, letting him feel her warmth. Wangji’s lips curved into the faintest, sweetest smile, and a tear slid down his cheek.

Outside, the squabble hadn’t ceased. Yibo and Yuan continued their playful arguing over who got to hold the baby first.

"  Baba, give her to me!"  Yibo shouted, stomping his foot.

" No! I’m the older brother!"  Yuan countered, his cheeks puffed out.

Yanli and Mrs. Kim tried to mediate, but the boys were relentless.
