"Lucy, what do got there?" Natsu asked tilting his head to the side.

"Matches." Lucy said opening the box up.

"Matches?" Natsu repeated curiously.

"Yeah, not everyone can light on fire Natsu like you or breathe fire. This is what humans use to make a fire." Lucy said.

"Oh. That's stupid, you don't need matches Lucy. What do you need on fire? I'll light it up for you." Natsu said, fire leaking from his mouth.

"Well, nothing really. I was just messing with them a bit, found it in one of my bags and couldn't remember how it got there." Lucy said taking a match out.

"Whenever I play with fire Igneel always tells me not to light our home on fire, so Lucy! Don't light our home on fire!" Natsu said waving his hand.

"I know! My Mother told me the same thing, to never play with fire. I'm not playing though, I'm observing." Lucy said spinning the match around.

Natsu stared at it as well, blinking at it.

"So how is this fire?" He asked.

"It's not, this is fire." Lucy said striking the match against the side of the box.

It lit on fire and Natsu's eyes widened, "cool!"

Lucy giggled and waved the match in the air, the fire disappearing leaving behind a trail of smoke.

"Let me try!" Natsu said holding out his hands.

Lucy giggled as she placed it in his hands. Natsu opened the box and pulled out a match, striking it against the box just like Lucy did. It caught on fire and Natsu's eyes widened as he watched the match burn, admiring the fire before he stuck the match in his mouth and swallowed it. Lucy's eyes widened while Natsu burped up smoke.

"That was a nice snack." He sighed.

"You just ate it!" Lucy screamed.

"It wasn't half bad either, that match tasted nasty though." Natsu said sticking his tongue out.

He struck another match and ate the fire alone this time, nodding his head. Much better.

"Natsu! Stop eating fire!" Lucy screamed.

"Why?" He asked.

"Well, because, it's fire!"

"I'm a fire dragon though remember? We eat fire."

Lucy blinked, that was true. Still, it was weird to see her student just eat fire like that.

"It's not enough though, it's like eating a crumb." Natsu said wiggling his nose.

An idea stuck Lucy. She grabbed the match box from Natsu and walked over to a bush, striking the match against the box and throwing it on the bush. The bush caught in a blaze and started burning.

"Is this big enough Natsu?" She asked.

Natsu's eyes widened as he jumped up, running over to where she was and eating up the fire. Lucy couldn't tell if he ran because she lit the forest on fire or because he saw fire and wanted to eat it.
