And I'm back! Drifted a little too far from the methods that work for me, so I struggled to get anything major written. I ended up taking a break from writing for a bit, returning to my beloved bullet points, and begrudgingly accepting that I'm most satisfied with my writing when I start with bullet points.

Shouldn't be as long for the next chapter though. I've got the next two partially written (done before this one funnily enough) and know what backstory chapter I want to write after that, so I know what I'll be doing next.

Lavender wings cut through the air silently, carrying their owner across the server at high speeds in search of something interesting. What might that something interesting be? Well he doesn't know yet. He's just looking for something.

Oh? That's a new building. Let's go check it out.

He swoops down, aiming for a window. Oop- Glass! Backwing! Backwing!

His feet hit the outer windowsill hard enough to make a quiet thump. That was close. He is not in the mood to pancake right now.

Peering inside, Grian grins when he sees not one, not two, but three separate Hermits working on the interior. None of them have noticed him just yet. He presses his face against the glass, chirping, "What doin'?"

Gem startles at the call, dropping the pillow in her hands. "Wha!" She turns to look at him, the other two looking over, but going back to working after a brief smile or snicker. "Oh, Grian?"

"Yup! So, what doin'?"

"Just preparing for a Halloween movie night. You want in?"

He grins. "Absolutely! I've got nothing to do right now, so I'd love to join in on movie night."

She breaks the wall to let him in, teasing, "Oh? I wouldn't have called the back of your base 'nothing', though it's not really wrong."

"Wha- Hey! I've done some of it!"

"Uh huh, and 'some' can be anywhere from a few blocks to a new building attached to the rock." He wants to defend himself, futile though it is, but is cut off by a pile of blankets dropped in his arms. "Here, make a couple of your little nest things out of these. Horror movies are better experienced with blankets to bundle up in, and you're weirdly good at making them stay bundled up."

Though he grumbles under his breath about being abruptly roped into preparations, he doesn't really mind, and he starts working on making little blanket nests, smaller than his usual ones, with open tops. But not too open, you know? Just enough for someone to sit in it without messing it up.

Helping out doesn't mean he can't mess around though.

Hiding underneath a 'random' pile of blankets he 'hasn't got to yet', Grian watches through a tiny gap by the floor, waiting for his chance. Patience is key. Move too soon, and they'll dodge or whack him. Move too late, and they'll already be out of reach. It needs to be just right.

Patience...

Let them wander a little closer...

"Hey, did anyone see where Grian went?"

He hides a grin. Almost there...

"No? I swear he was in here a couple minutes ago though."

Just two steps closer...

"Do you think he got tired of being productive and bailed?"

He tenses his muscles, ready to lunge.

"Probably. It's like he's allergic to buckling down and getting some actual work done-"
