"You're DATING JUNGKO—"

"Ssssh! A little human decency?" I whispered, embarrassed, to Lisa. The school cafeteria wouldn't be helping with my case if my secret happened to leak right at that very moment.

Her hand slapped over her mouth to prevent more verbal vomit from spilling, as well as the holding onto the amount of shock that was melting her face.

"We're not really dating," I explained.

"But you kissed each other. You made out, is what you've told me twice already."

"Yes, I know," I bit through my words with my nose creased. "Well, we really like each other, but we've never actually brought up the question 'Y/n, do you wanna be my girlfriend?' or 'Jungkook, do you wanna be my boyfriend?'"

"If I were you," Lisa leaned in, "I would act neutral, give a peck on the cheek, and say, 'What's my boyfriend been up to lately?'" A smirk carved on her lips. I was on the verge of rolling my eyes.

"That sounds stupid."

"It's quick and easy! And it's playful. I know how being playful with him is practically your hobby. You're obsessed with teasing him." She used her finger to twirl her straw around her empty cup. Her lips pursed in amusement.

"You're right about the playful part, but... can I say that I'm nervous to say that to him? I mean, it's just out of the blue."

"You're acknowledging your relationship," Lisa advised. "I can presume that Jungkook isn't that good at confronting with this sorta stuff since he's picked up girls like a tennis ball and never managed a proper relationship."

I mean, does Jieun Mi count?

Hearing my thoughts whisper her name icks me. I grimaced.

"Should we tell Jennie and Jisoo?" I asked.

Lisa insisted, "Yes."

"Not yet."

"Come on! You're making it obvious with you two bickering less and less every day. It used to be back to back spitting insults, and you were kinda bad at it," Lisa giggled, "but now you've gotten better, which is more suspicious."

"People look at Jungkook, not me," I argued.

"Yet if they find out that another girl's name slips from his mouth, the girls who stalk him will hunt for your dorm number. Only to see who else is behind the curtain."

"I don't care about that. The point is, I don't know how to approach this." My arms linked together. Bewilderment just kept piecing together like a puzzle in my brain.

"Just try out what I said you should say, and then spark! The magic will come to you and the conversation will flow right through." Lisa performed with her dramatic little hand gestures. Didn't fail to rub a smirk on my face. "Just trust me with this."

Her tone simmered from silly to sincere. Maybe I should give this a chance. It might work, and then my questions will be confirmed.

"Fine," I agreed. "It's good to have you by my side, Lisa."

"I've got your back no matter what."

. . .

After school was finally finished, I tiredly stumbled over back to my dorm. History and biology inflamed my brain with the overload of writing and diagramming I had to do.

I was the only soul to be in the dorm. No chocolate eyes and dark-haired tattooed grungy man that I was anticipating but also a tad nervous to run into.
