Year 6 - Room of Requirements

Theo clenched his jaw as he glared at the twin box in the room, the same one that he spent the whole school year repairing with Draco. Every night spent in this damned room that used to bring him and others escape from the pink toad named Umbridge just the year before.

The warm room from last year felt like it could swallow him whole. Filled to the brim with ancient artifacts. Cursed. Dark. Dangerous. Illegal.

Merlin. It was a miracle that him and Draco didn't get cursed when they were cooped in the room trying to fix the unfixable. And yet they somehow did the impossible.

"What now?" Pansy squeaked, making him turn around to see the pug faced girl start scratching the surface of her sleeve. The same place where he felt his itch.

He calls.

And he knew for a fact that the cold sweat on Malfoy's face knew that they were being praised.

If pain was praise in the most sinister way that is.

"Both of you, go." Draco ordered, his face grim, hiding the exhaustion on his face with a scowl.

"We can't do that," Vincent Crabbe protested, being one of two of Draco's loyal friends. "We'll stay."

"Fine," Draco huffed, turning to Theo and Pansy. "You two, leave."

"Like hell I will," Theo scowled. "I promised Finley I'd protect you."

"And I promised her to keep you out of this, and look how that turned out," Draco pointed out, his intense gaze softened. "Just leave, both of you. Save yourself."

"Malfoy—"

"Your brothers are coming, do you really want to face those psychos?"

Theo shuts up, yet his glare remained.

He hated his brothers. Absolutely fucking hated them with everything he had, and that was because his father groomed them to be the nasty psychopaths. Loyalist. Purist. Fucking relentless monsters.

Draco claps a hand on Theo's shoulder, snapping him out of the rage bubbling in his chest at the mention of his brothers. "Go take Pansy back to the dorms. I'll handle this. Tell the young ones to lock the doors. Tell the 7th years to ward the common room."

In short. Protect them from seeing the evil their families are capable of.

Theo clicked his tongue. "Fine," he withdrew, gently placing a hand on Pansy's trembling back.

"Don't be stupid."

Draco nods. "Take care of her," he says.

By this point, he was unsure if it was for Pansy who had come to be a dear friend and sister to Malfoy, or for his lover Finley who seemed to mentally deteriorate from her blood line's curse. Either way, he nodded.

Thoughts raced as he walked Pansy back to the common room. Plotting ways on how to tell his housemates the following chaos their families would cause.

Year 6 - Slytherin Common Room

Blaise glared at the fire. Hoping for something to happen, or something to not happen.

He wasn't sure why, but there was a hollow feeling in his stomach. Something was wrong, and usually he wanted to be right, but in this case he wished he was wrong.

The more he stared at the flames, the more intense the fire became.

He sat waiting.

The hollow feeling.
