Kitayuu's heart was pounding as each second passed in the waiting room. Not only did he have to face off against Raiden, he knew that he was going to be as ruthless as ever against him. It didn't help that each and every opponent from here on out was going to be extremely tough, Keqing, Ganyu and Xiao were all formidable and had secured a spot before the finals.
Kitayuu's heart skipped a beat the moment the door to the dark hallway opened. The silence and suspense was unbearable. Every footsteps could be heard and Kitayuu was so lost in thought that he didn't realise he was outside until he stood face to face with Raiden in the middle of the arena. The two of them stood there until the crowd died down. Raiden slid one leg in front and raised his fist behind him. Kitayuu got ready in a defensive stance and didn't dare to blink, 'It looks like he's planning to attack relentlessly as usual. I'm going to have to be careful and take advantage of every single opening!'
"LET THE BATTLE BEGIN"

Kitayuu was blasted back with a sudden burst of wind and almost lost balance as he didn't anticipate for this to happen, the next second, Raiden was behind him midair and before he could do anything Raiden had already swung his knee at Kitayuu's jaw before kicking him back with his other leg.

Kitayuu rolled on the ground, but managed to get back onto his feet before the momentum carrying him was gone, 'It all happened so fast. When he clenched his fist and drew his elbow back, I thought he was going to dash in and punch me, but instead, he quickly opened his hand when the battle began and released a strong anemo force push before coming in and getting good shots at me. Each one of those moves were not just to deceive me, but they were quick and precise that were extremely well calculated. That bastard isn't just relentless, he's actually smart!'
"Kitayuu! Where are you looking!"
Raiden flew in and kicked from the side with Kitayuu blocking it this time by raising his elbow up. Kitayuu ignited that same arm with flames and managed to grab Raiden's leg, but his plan to burn him failed as Raiden released a strong shockwave and tried following up with a swirling strike. Kitayuu blocked it using a hydro barrier with Raiden's strike splashing water into his face. As soon as this happened, Kitayuu froze Raiden's eyes shut with cryo, but before he was able to close in and get a shot, the horseshoe shaped avatar formed behind Raiden and started firing with blades. Kitayuu quickly jumped back but was still hit by some, resulting in cuts on mainly his arms.
Raiden managed to rip the ice off his face and as soon as he opened his eyes again. A sudden hydro blast was coming towards him, "Do you really think something so pitifully weak can reach!"
Raiden raised one arm and blasted with a tornado beam ripping through the water like butter, "DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME!"
A small smile formed on Kitayuu's face as it was his plan all along, but it didn't last long since Raiden came rushing in again, this time both of his fists started glowing with anemo energy, "HURRICANE BARRAGE!"
