Everyone else who was in combat froze as the dark starry night was illuminated. Despite taking place miles away from everyone else.
Everyone saw the danger coming and braced for impact as flaming white rocks came crashing down.
Most boulders that were launched into the air were incinerated before being able to reach the ground, but rocks that were the size of buildings were still able to rain hell on the battlefield despite being reduced to the size of a human at best.
Gepard; "Everyone group up! If you know any barrier abilities, help me create a dome to cover us all, hurry!"
Gepard's quick thinking managed to get people to help shelter everyone under a protective barrier, but their enemies were nowhere in sight and all they could do was wait until the rain of fire subsided.
Kitayuu, Raiden and Keqing were not as fortunate as a few falling rocks managed to find its way to their area.
Keqing tackled Kitayuu to the ground, saving him from one.
Metarika erected a steel wall to shield himself, but was unable to react in time before Raiden came from above and redirected a massive flaming boulder down on him.
The force from the collision shattered the area on the cliffside and caused an avalanche. Keqing tried avoiding it, but was struck by a flaming rock. Kitayuu shielded himself as he fell to the bottom.
Eventually everything subsided and a few moments later, Keqing fell on the ground near Kitayuu. Raiden joined them, but didn't bother checking if they were OK.
Keqing got up shaking a bit and coughed, "Could've given us a signal or heads up."
Raiden; "Shut up, I'm not responsible for your problems."
A beat passed.
Keqing's face was in absolute disbelief, "Listen, I know you have your fair share of problems-"
Before she could finish, she noticed Kitayuu was with them and decided not to go on further, "Look, you can't just do what you want right now. If we want to make it out alive you're gonna have to listen to what I say!"
"Tsk, you? Why do we all have to listen to you now?" He remarked.
Keqing pinched the bridge of her nose and tried holding back her frustration, "Did you not hear a single thing I said? You're the one who also got us in this mess in the first place!"
Raiden turned to her fully now and grabbed her by the shirt, "Oh yeah? And who asked you to come!"
"Hey, I had to come and save your sorry ass from getting killed! Now, because of that, I'd probably get into trouble along with you and Kitayuu since I went against Diluc's orders!"
Raiden pulled her closer with their noses almost touching, "Oh and I'm supposed to believe your act of concern makes me owe you?"
"Unbelievable! You can't even show a bit of gratitude for saving you and sticking around to help fight that guy!?"
Keqing swatted Raiden's hand away then pushed him back, "And don't touch me."
Raiden; "You know, you act like your contributions here gave us value, but you also run in to do your own thing just like me. Isn't that hypocritical?"
"That's not my point! Besides, at least I looked out for Kitayuu earlier whilst you were too focused on trying to do something else whilst hell was raining down on us!"
Raiden burst out, "What? Now who's the one that isn't being appreciative? I saw an opportunity and took it! Without that our situation would be so much shittier tha-"
