As the second last match of the tournament commenced, Xiao and Raiden exchanged lightning fast attacks whilst blocking every single punch and kick with perfect timing and precision.
Both fighters remained stoic and focused on one another and there was a clear stalemate with neither one of them seeming to have the upper hand during this exchange.
'As expected, Raiden is able to keep up to me with very little difficulty... but'
Just out of the blue, Xiao managed to land a perfect kick under Raiden's chin and sent him into the air, "I'm still faster"
Xiao proceeded with a series of punches and kicks, displaying his advanced and perfected combat abilities.
Raiden quickly blasted himself back with a burst of wind, but Xiao followed him back. As Raiden skidded on the ground with both feet and stood his ground, he charged up a piercing vortex on one palm.
"Already!?"
Xiao halted right in front and immediately put his hand up front to block the attack, causing the ball of energy to now be suspended in midair between both of their palms.
Raiden unexpectedly shifted the ball to his left whilst taking a step to the side as well. Xiao stumbled forward expecting Raiden to stay there and try to force the attack through. Instead as he shifted to the side, Raiden closed his fist on the vortex and infused it in a punch that managed to land perfectly.
Xiao got blasted back, but managed to deflect two wind blades that Raiden followed up with.
Both of them now charged in head on. Raiden paused a bit earlier, placing his hand on the ground. Xiao continued to get closer and just as he tried to swirl dash, Raiden pushed himself up and managed to avoid the attack by going over.
Using this opening, he shot another wind blade that hit Xiao. However, to his surprise, Xiao's spin managed to disperse the attack and followed up with a swirling strike.
Raiden put his arms up into an X and blocked it perfectly, but at that moment Xiao started spinning as well and dashed to break his block. Xiao aimed a swirling strike but Raiden did the same in response and the two were both pushed back from the clash.
'He's really starting to piss me off. Looks like I underestimated Xiao a bit. Although I am better than everyone in this tournament. This bastard and Keqing always seem to be one step behind me'
Raiden managed to dodge a burst of wind that Xiao sent from a distance and counterattacked with a wind blade, 'I'll make sure that anyone who tries to oppose me regrets it!'
Raiden rushed forward and reached out to grab Xiao's arm. As his hand was about to latch on, Xiao suddenly disappeared and Raiden felt a wind go right past him.
"Man are you slow"
