A head count was done to make sure there were no missing students after the unexpected ambush.
Not many words were exchanged on the way back, but there was one thing that was for certain. Keqing, Raiden and Kitayuu knew that they were in big trouble.
The students and teachers were escorted by Fatui soldiers.
During the walk there was one thing on Barbara's mind. She quickly pushed herself through to the front where Diluc and the other teachers were.
"Hey, sorry Diluc, can I ask you something?"
Diluc slowed his pace to let Barbara come closer. It was clear that something was bothering her.
"What is the disaster seven?"
"You sure you're ready to hear about that?" Yao Guang said who was walking slightly up front.
Diluc; "Come on now, I'm sure she and the rest are way old enough."
Barbara; "That person just now, he was powerful. It's like nothing I've ever seen."
Diluc nodded, "I hate to admit it, but I felt that they were still suppressing themselves. Almost as if he was making a mockery out of us, but something bothers me even more."
Yao Guang stopped walking and waited for them to catch up, "So you noticed too Diluc?"
He nodded, "Yes, that person sounded relatively young."
Bennet also pushed his way forward and chimed in, "So the disaster seven, do they have any affiliation to the Archons?"
Yao Guang put a finger on her chin and looked into the sky, "Well... I wouldn't necessarily say they do, but you can think of them as 'evil' Archons in a way."
"The disaster seven are seven individuals that are the strongest amongst the Abyss Legion members."
"But are they stronger than the Archons?" Bennet questioned.
Diluc shook his head, "I wouldn't say so, but their power is nothing to scoff at. It is still what many consider to be at a divine level and I heard rumors that the strongest amongst them could possess power equal to one."
Kitayuu wasn't far behind from the conversation, he realized how lucky they got knowing that they didn't end up fighting one themselves.
Even Raiden and Keqing who were both familiar with Archon levels of power were stunned at the overwhelming presence and energy they felt earlier.
By the time they arrived back at the academy, the sun had just begun showing itself on the horizon.
Everyone was exhausted and many were injured from the fight and the flaming rocks that fell from the sky.
Bennet nudged Kitayuu, "Dude, you could have at least told me where you were going, maybe I would have been able to tag along!"
Kitayuu sighed, "I don't think that's the best idea, I mean I'm probably in big trouble right now because of that."
Bennet thought for a moment, "Well yeah, but it was pretty cool that you were able to take down a legion member. Anyways, what was with him? I saw him use metal, isn't that a bit odd?"
"That's because it was a mutation..."
Bennet and Kitayuu turned around upon hearing Keqing's voice from behind.
Kitayuu; "A what?"
"Mutation's are rare, it's not often that you see them. Metarika in particular had a geo mutation that allowed him to manipulate metal, but I don't think his control or abilities with regular geo were good."
