After the meteor shower, the enemy forces immediately got back to closing in on the students, only this time they had abyss mages backing them up. Despite one of the flaming rocks being able to get Sparkle out of the ice, the enemy was way too overwhelming and everyone was quickly surrounded with nowhere left to go.
Bennet attempted to jump forward in a last desperate attempt, but Leiru quickly shut him down with a well timed strike.
Xiao came in, catching Bennet and bringing him back to the group, "No more reckless moves, it's no use."
Leiru let out a chuckle, "First mission of the job, I'd say we did pretty good."
Kali; "What now? Do we kill them?"
Leiru shook his head, "Hold on, we have to see if one of them could be whoever the boss is after first."
The two of them started closing in whilst the students backed into each other closer and closer.
Suddenly, Leiru was knocked back by something too fast for any of the students.
A woman that had white hair with blue undertones between the enemy and the students.
The woman held a weapon made of feathers and shaped like a traditional fan and was dressed in a way that resembled a peacock.

Leiru jumped back into action, but before he could do anything the woman struck him again with the same feather-like projectile that pierced and stuck itself into his skin before exploding.
Kali jumped in from the side, thinking that she was distracted, but the woman swung her fan to the side, slicing into him and kicking him back.
As the Hilichurl army and abyss mages charged in at her, a bunch of rocks rained down on them before someone else landed at the scene, only this time she looked like she was a third year.
The girl had long blonde hair tied up in drill curls swooped in with what looked like to be an umbrella that quickly proved to be a lethal weapon as aiming it and pulling a trigger not only opened it up, but unleashed a devastating burst of rocks out like a shotgun.
As a Mitachurl tried to attack from behind, she got her second weapon and struck its leg directly with a large battle axe.
Leiru used the commotion to sneak away whilst Kali was caught by Kazuha who had just arrived and was cleaning up large groups of hilichurls by sucking them towards him with a whirlwind before jumping up to do a plunge attack.
Even Diluc and Kaeya who had managed to find their way back helped with cleaning everything up.
The woman that looked like a peacock took a quick look at the two of them and giggled, "It looks like you two have seen better days."
Kaeya sighed exhausted, "Tell me about it, we just nearly got hit by a tsunami of flames capable of blowing up an entire mountain."
Bennet was the first one from the students to walk up to the new faces and asked curiously, "Woah, who are you two?"
