When She Smiles

Oh when she smiles

All the pains go away

All the memories disappear

As she slowly fades away

The dimness in her eyes

Is replaced by an unreal light

The words from her lips

Slice on through the night

The vacancy in her soul

Is hidden by her grin

A heart locked away

Where no one’s every been

Oh but when she smiles

All the pains go away

All the memories disappear

As she slowly fades away

Into the darkness

Out of the light

As she soars on

In sorrow and in flight

If she could have one wish

It would be to stay the same

So she could always continue

And her smile would always remain

For when she smiles

All the pains go away

All the memories disappear

As she slowly fades away

Eventually her smile becomes weary

As the sadness of her soul

Seeps through the cracks in her lips

Black as night

Dark as coal

Now when she smiles

All the pains take control

All the memories flood back

As she finally fades away
