You promised
Or I thought you had
You said just us
Against the world
But then you turned against me
And I was left armor-less in the war zone
You were the one who turned me in
Pointed the enemy to my spot
You exposed me
And now I'm trapped
Avoiding and running
From all that you are
Everywhere
I find you everywhere
In everything
I can't escape
So I'll hold my breath
Until the exhaustion takes me down
To where my eyes no longer burn
And my chest no longer urns
For that which I thought we promised
How I'll never look the same
At a red sparkle
How I'll never again
Feel the same
