Long, long ago
Before there were cars
Buildings
Or roads
There were creatures of enormous size
From reptiles, to fish, to giant dragon flies
Ones that could roar or ones the could squawk
Swim, or fly, and even walk
With big claws, sharp teeth, and a beak
Theses creatures, they were quite like freaks
Some had wings, four legs, or maybe a tail
Giant lizards, crocs, or even snails
As big as the mountain tops
These creature's heights would never stop
Some carried spikes along their backs
While other's left enormous tracks
Their brain compared to the size
Made their smarts seem minimized
But brains were not need then
Size was all that mattered when
These creatures roamed across the land
Ruling with iron claws not hand
But there were other type of different animals
Who lived in the shadows, we call the mammals
The had fur, soft ears, and scurried around
Most lived in burrow deep in the ground
But soon some things would change
And size would not longer range
From the tree tops to the forest floor
The dinosaurs would be no more
The mammals now would finally reign
Not with size but with brain
Smarts and intelligence
Using their ultimate sense
Creating the humans race
Unlike other's we'll leave a bigger trace
That we were once on this earth
We reached the sky and fulfilled our worth
Until one day we meet our fate
And end up just like the great
Dinosaurs, only extinct
