If Life Was Like a Poem

Sometimes

sometimes people become friends

sometimes they make you happy

sometimes it's good for a while

and it all seems to be falling into place

but sometimes things fall too far

sometimes they fall out of place

and into something else

sometimes you say the wrong thing

make a mistake you didn't mean to

tell me it's okay

sometimes it's okay

but other times it's not

sometimes

if only sometimes

sometimes people don't love each other

and sometimes things will never change

maybe us was only sometimes

maybe us isn't forever

maybe we are only sometimes

and maybe that's okay

but sometimes things just happen

sometimes we end up hating each other

and sometimes we stay that way
