Of Fire and Ice

First night on a new bed in a new house was a beautiful feeling. I was woken up by yelling, though. I got up, Ari curled around my neck, and went to see what the commotion was.

I went into the living room to find Lucy yelling at Natsu and a dude with black hair to get out. "Oh see! You woke Henley up!" Lucy groaned.

"Why are those two here?" I asked, mid yawn. "They have a habit of breaking in." Lucy explained and I just nodded. "You're naked." Natsu said and I opened my eyes a bit more to see the boys staring at me.

I looked down and no, I was not naked. "I'm wearing a shirt." I said and they just kept staring. "But it's only a shirt." He pressed on. "I'm wearing underwear too you perv." I said and turned around.

"Where are you going?" Lucy asked. "Back to bed. It's not noon yet, I shouldn't be up." I hummed, dragging my feet. "What?" Lucy asked, so Ari spoke up. "Henley refuses to be awake before eleven twenty five and put of bed by noon." She explained.

"It's eleven forty." Black haired dude spoke up. "Fuuuuuuuuuuck." I swore slowly, and still trudged back to my room. "Oh, and what's your face, as much as I like seeing naked people, dudes as much as girls, honestly, put a shirt on or something." I said and went into my room, closing the door.

I got dressed and did my makeup, and by the time I was done I was completely awake. I stepped back out with Ari clinging onto my waist (why, I don't know) and they were all still there.

"Ah, nice to see you with clothes on." Natsu said. "Shut up. I did have a shirt on." I snapped. "We all saw your butt." Black haired dude spoke up. "It's cute, right?" I grinned and he blushed.

"Henley, that's Grey. Grey, that's Henley. Grey has a habit of taking his clothes off randomly." Lucy sighed. "Oh, I don't mind. I may join him sometime." I shrugged, deepening his blush.

"Horn dog." Ari coughed. "I'll roast you." I warned her, only to have her give me a toothy grin.

"Anyway, Henley, Ari, they're here to help you find a job." Lucy said and we looked up. "Kay. How?" I asked and Natsu took my hand and soon we were all running to Fairy Tail.

"This is a job board. We look at it and if we find a job that we can do, or one that just pays well, we take it and go do the job." Natsu explained.

"So what can you do? What are your talents?" Lucy asked. "I don't know..." "You liar. Hen can make pretty images, she can fight-" Ari started. "I thought you didn't fight." Natsu spoke up.

"Henley used to fight a lot. She got in a lot of trouble for picking fights. We used to have a lot of friends, then she fought one of them. Hen gets real scary in a fight, and now we're all not friends anymore." Ari said and I tried to shut her up, but I couldn't.

"How about you do one with fire, but no fighting? Like here! 'Looking for fire wizard to burn down opponent's house'. That sounds perfect! I'll go with you on that one and we can burn it together and split the money!" Natsu said.

"Well, how much is it?" I asked, going over to him. "Eight thousand jewels. We can get four thousand each!" Natsu said and I nodded. "Yeah, okay. It's a start." I agreed.

"Great! Let's go!" Natsu cheered and grabbed my hand again, going to the door. "Wait, now?!" I yelled and he laughed as a blue cat with wings few next to him. "Why not?! We're gonna be paid for destroying things!" The cat said.

"The cat is blue." I gasped and Natsu laughed. "You know, you're actually the first to say that to Happy. Most people go, 'the cat is flying' or 'the cat can talk'. But you go for the blue." They laughed.

"Well, I'm kinda used to flying, talking animals. I've jus never seen a blue cat before." I hummed. "So your name is Happy." I said and he nodded. "Nice to meet you, I'm Henley, and this is Ariadne." I introduced us.

"Wait, Natsu, did we just leave Lucy and Grey behind?" I asked and he nodded. "The ad said the house needed to be burned down. Not torn apart or iced. And we're the only fire dragon wizards here." He shrugged.

"We're the only ones? I mean, you're the only one I've met, besides myself, and I know we're rare. I just didn't know how rare." I hummed. "It's because normal people are afraid of dragons, nonetheless be an apprentice to one." Ari snickered.

"What are you saying? We're not normal?" Natsu asked her. "Of course you two aren't normal. You have dragon magic. Do normal people have dragon magic? No." Ari snapped. "Whoa, turn down the sass, sweetie." I laughed.

"So where exactly are we going?" I asked. "To find the house of whoever put the ad out. We need to talk to them to get more information so we get the job done correctly." Natsu answered.

First fucking job, and I'm hype.
