The group and I decided to take a break and take a calming walk through a forest...

I honestly don't know what goes on in their heads half the time.

I was on Ari's back as we walked through, feeling her weight shift with every step she took. It was so calming, I swear I dozed off a few times.

Ari suddenly froze and I snapped my head up, blinking heavily. "What? What is it?" I asked, then I smelled it. It smelled smoky, and very familiar. I latched my hands around one of her spine spikes and she took off, running towards the scent.

And there, in the middle of a clearing, was a cream coloured scaled egg. I slid off Ari and walked towards it, Ari directly behind me.

"Ariadne, what is it?" I asked as I lifted it up. It was heavier than I thought, so I cradled it in my arms. "An egg, I think. Or a weird looking rock." She hummed and I chuckled. "I don't want to get my hopes up, but I think it might be a dragon egg. I mean, it smells like us and Natsu." I said and Ari nodded. "I think you might be right." She said.

"Should we keep it and try to get it to hatch?" I asked and Ari took a long sniff. "I don't know. It smells as if it's been here a long time. I'm guessing twenty years at least." She said and I shrugged. "We can still try."

Soon the others caught up and saw what I was cradling in my arms. "What's that?" Erza asked. "An egg. Ari and I are going to try hatch it and see what pops out." I said. "What are you hoping will come out?" Lucy asked. "A dragon." Ari and I said at the same time.

"Hen, you already have a dragon." Grey said and I smiled. "I'm hoping for another. I love dragons." I said and ran my hand across Ari's cheek. Ari made a sort of purring sound and closed her eyes.

"You can be the mom, and I'll be an aunt." Ari said. "Uh no. If I'm the mom, you're the sister to the thing." I said and she sighed and nodded.

We started to make our way back, but Ari wanted us to go straight home to warn it up.
