So throughout a week, I didn't remove anything from my body, which Grey wouldn't stop laughing at.
"Whoops. Looks like we're having kids." He smirked at me. "Grey, don't you fucking joke about that." I rolled my eyes. "C'mon, Hen. Just a joke." He leaned his chin on my shoulder. "I know, but it's not that funny to me." I pouted, sticking my bottom lip out far. "I'm sorry." He turned my face and pecked my lips. Grey then moved to whisper in my ear.
"Now stop pouting or I'll give you something to do with those lips." He said softly and I didn't let my expression show what I was thinking.
Let's just say that my mouth would be working awfully hard about now if I hadn't stopped pouting.
I did wake up one morning, got dressed, and went down to the guild just so Harley and Ari tackled me in a hug. I groaned as I hit the ground. "Again, Ari, you're about the size of a horse and the wagon, and Harley, you're a full grown woman."
"But Henley, do you even know what today is?!" Harley said excitedly, pulling me off the ground. "Um?" I said in confusion. They both smirked at each other. "It's our birthday!" Ari cheered, running and somehow getting me on her back. I held on for dear life as Ari ran through the town, Harley skipping and laughing right behind us.
"Wait wait wait wait." I said and they stopped. "What are we even doing? I just wanted a drink." I sighed. "Not anymore, sissy! We're getting you a dress!" Harley cheered and she and Ari took me to a dressmaker.
In an hour or two I had a new dress in a bag in my hands. We went and dropped it at home and Harley made me lunch. "Can't I just go to Fairy -" "No!" They both said and I smirked, catching on easily. "Okay." I shrugged, waiting patiently.
We ate lunch quietly and I couldn't keep a smirk off my face. "Why's your face like that?" Harley asked. "I know something is going on. I'm not stupid." I shrugged and they both sighed and opened their mouths to confess. "But I'm not going to ask what. I still want to be a little surprised." I said and they smiled.
"Promise you won't tell?" Harley asked. "Of course I'm going to tell. You two are horrible at keeping secrets." I rolled my eyes.
A few boring hours later, they told me to get dressed. I got in my new dress, black silk, strapless and only above my knee with white lace at the hems everywhere, some black heels, and did my makeup extra special.
I went back down to see them waiting outside. "Your transport, mi'lady." Harley bowed while gesturing to Ari. "Don't be silly. Ari is my best friend, not a mode of transportation." I rolled my eyes, but got on her back anyway.
"Finishing touch." Harley said and brought out two crowns, one for me and one big enough for Ari. I beamed down at her. She walked down the street to Fairy Tail.
It was near sundown when we got there, and the whole place was illuninated. My eyes lit up as the doors opened to all our friends and the whole guild grinning at us.
My hands flew over my mouth and I laughed. They parted so Ari could walk in to show the place had completely transformed to some birthday setting. After I had had my glance around, I turned back to the guild. "Who-?" "All of us. Happy birthday, you two." Grey shrugged, and hugged him tightly. "Thank you." I smiled at all of them, then felt hot tears forming.
I backed away and wiped my eyes furiously. "Fuck! And I worked so hard to get my face perfect!" I hiccuped. Natsu came up and hugged me, laughing. "Those are happy tears!" "Tears all the same." I said.
We spent the whole night celebrating Ari's and my birthday, and it was obviously the best birthday ever.
