Fireworks blasted overhead as the Foxy Pirates celebrated the beginning of the games. I stood with my hands on my hips, waiting to find out what exactly these games would entail. Zoro was sitting on a crate beside me while Sanji, Robin, and Chopper all stood nearby. Nami and Usopp, however, were borderline assaulting Luffy in their fury with him for agreeing to the Davy Back Fight in the first place.

"You jerk," Usopp grumbled.

Nami snapped at the rubber man, "You've landed us in a real mess, Luffy."

The captain muttered through pursed lips as the other two had his face squished between their fists, "What's the big deal? All we gotta do is win."

As Luffy spoke, one of the Foxy Pirates approached us. I sensed him toss something our way, landing at Zoro's feet. He called out almost condescendingly, "You're forgetting something. You gotta fill out your team roster. Our party organiser needs it. You each get to participate twice. And once you've picked your lineup, it's set in stone."

The swordsman bent down and picked up the paper, looking it over. I tilted my head curiously as he read it out loud, "It's got the events listed: a race, ball game, and battle."

The rest of the crew gathered around as well. Sanji leaned forward, trying to look over Zoro's shoulder to read the paper, "What's that say? Well... looks like we can all take part in the race. Three for the ball game and then three for the battle."

Luffy chuckled, "Cool! You can go ahead and sign me up for all three."

"No, can't do that," Robin gently reminded him, "The rules say that two is the limit."

I grinned, starting to feel giddy, "Oh, I've gotta be in the battle!"

"Hold on," Robin said as she took the sign-up sheet from Zoro, "The battle event is broken up into three roles: manager, coach, and combatant."

Luffy was practically jumping in place, "Oo! Oo! I wanna fight in the battle!"

I baulked at him, "Wha- No way! I call dibs!"

He huffed at me, "Nuh-uh!"

I stepped forward, raising my fist at him, "I said I want in the battle first!"

He mirrored me, pressing the brim of his straw hat against my forehead, "Well, I call captain's dibs, and that trumps regular dibs!"

My teeth ground together as I leaned forward, almost headbutting him as I growled, "Why you- That's a cheap shot!" He merely snickered in victory. I turned away and crossed my arms with a scowl, "Fine. I'll be the coach, then."

I was not the only one sulking as I heard Nami and Usopp glummly whimpering as they hung their heads. The sniper muttered, "We can't lose this thing. I just know they're gonna take Captain Usopp if we do."

"No, they aren't," Nami whined, "They're gonna take me. I'm the cute one."

My boyfriend scoffed under his breath at their moaning, "Those two are getting all worked up over nothing. Even if we do lose one of the matches, I doubt either of them would be first pick."

My brow furrowed at that as I turned to him, "What do you mean?"

I sensed him face me, his voice grim, "Neither of them have bounties, and Foxy strikes me as the kind of guy who values that in the people he chooses."

A chill ran down my spine at that, "You mean Luffy, Robin, you, and me?"

He nodded, "Three games. Four of us with prices on our heads. Seems like the most likely way this plays out."
