Chapter 103: So long, Long Ring Long Land!

We managed to get the whole crew down from the collapsed stands without any further incident. I carried Chopper on my shoulders to prevent him from falling in the water, while the cook insisted on helping Robin. She humoured him despite being fully capable of taking care of herself. On a similar note, Usopp volunteered to help Kaori down, but it was mostly an excuse to keep himself from falling since she was perfectly capable, too.

At the same time, the Foxy pirates delivered Luffy from their ship back to the shore. We quickly regrouped with him. He had passed out from his injuries and exhaustion during his fight with Foxy. Kaori and Chopper got to work treating his wounds while Usopp chastised him in his sleep.

"You little showoff! Who do you think you are?" The long-nosed man poked his face, but Luffy was unresponsive in his sleep, "Take this! And this!"

Chopper indignantly waved Usopp away, "Hey, stop that! He's really hurt! You'll poke him to death!"

My girlfriend chuckled, "Relax, Chopper. He's made of rubber. Poking him won't do any harm."

Nami was far from relieved despite the fight being over, "Yeah, Afro Power my butt. That was a close call if I've ever seen one."

Sanji looked at her with concern, "Whoa, hey! Let's not disrespect the afro here."

Chopper let out a happy gasp, "Look! He's waking up!"

Luffy's eyes drifted open in a daze before he snapped upright in a panic, "Where am I? What happened?! Is it over? Did I win?! That wasn't just a dream, was it? Was it?!"

I could not help but smirk as I put my hands in my pockets, "You don't need to freak out. You beat him."

His relaxed smile returned as he sighed and threw himself back onto the ground with a light chuckle, "What a relief."

Usopp boasted in a smug tone as he passed Luffy his hat back, "Everyone else said you'd lose, but not me."

Kaori put on an irritated smile and reached over to place her hand on the long-nosed man's shoulder, "You sure you're remembering that right, Usopp?"

He nervously laughed, "Ah, well, maybe everyone didn't say it, but I could tell you were all worried."

Sanji huffed in annoyance, "You're a bad liar."

I glanced over at Luffy with a slight frown, trying to downplay just how on edge I had felt through this whole ordeal, "Guess it would have been a real pain if you'd lost. Imagine being stuck on a boat with Roxy. Screw that."

As if saying his name summoned him, Foxy strode up to us, covered in bandages, "Hey, Rubber Boy, I was pretty attached to that win streak of mine. I'm not pleased about you ruining it," After a slight pause, he held out his hand to Luffy, "I'm kidding, brother. Let's shake."

I scowled at the transparent trap, but Luffy shrugged and held out his hand anyway. Foxy snatched up his arm with both hands, sneering. My hand shot to the hilt of Sandai Kitetsu, but my idiot captain merely hummed in confusion.

"Hi-ya!" Foxy shrieked as he spun on his heel, "Taste my Shoulder Throw of Spite!"

He threw all of his weight forward, only for Luffy to let his arm get stretched. My skin crawled in embarrassment at the sight of Foxy faceplanting in the dirt with a shocked grunt of pain. I sighed and shook my head, "This guy's a real piece of work."

Foxy sprang up, acting like nothing happened as he snapped at Luffy in rage, "You forget the rules already?! C'mon! You've got a new crewmate to choose!"
