The Going Merry landed on the ocean surface with a huge splash. I clutched Kaori to my chest as the water crashed over the deck, keeping both of us from being swept away. The ship rocked for a moment before settling. My girlfriend sat up slowly, and I followed suit.
A quick look around, and I saw everyone was strewn across the ship. The devilfruit users were all lying on the deck after being drenched in seawater, "But everyone is accounted for. No one fell off the ship."
I let out a relieved sigh and bowed my head. My moment of peace was quickly broken as the cook popped up with a gasp, "Nami, Kaori, Robin! Are you all okay?"
He dashed over to Nami as she sat up, trembling, "That was really scary. What happened to the octopus?"
Robin groaned as she slowly propped herself up on one elbow, still drained from being covered in seawater, "Guess it ran out of air."
After he made sure Nami was alright, Sanji quickly moved to Robin's side, offering her a hand up. He then cast a glare towards Luffy, "Wonder how that happened."
I followed the cook's gaze and also scowled at the rubberman as he lay flat on his back, groaning from the seawater. The octopus fell from overhead, probably slipping off the main mast, and landed squarely on Luffy's face. He laughed as he pried the creature off, "Hey, come on! Don't whine. We did make it down here alive!"
"You're damn lucky no one is seriously hurt!" Kaori snapped at him. He only laughed in a way of apology.
Sanji let out a frustrated sigh as he lit a cigarette, "You're right," He took a slow drag before he tilted his head back to look up at the sky, "And we got to see an incredible place."
Robin sounded wistful, "Now that we're down here, it looks so far away."
Nami hummed in agreement, "Like something out of a dream."
Kaori huffed and shook her head, "More like a nightmare. Maybe my opinion is skewed cause I got knocked out more than once, but I've had more than my fill of the sky islands."
Usopp snickered at her, "Yeah, I'd hate it if I had my ass handed to me twice in one day."
My girlfriend scowled at him, "Watch it."
The sniper's smirk widened, "I suppose one of us has to, and it certainly won't be you."
The blind woman stood and began to storm over to him, "You think you're real funny, huh?" Usopp shrieked and began to dash across the deck in the opposite direction.
Chopper chirped as he looked up at the sky as well, "Think we'll see it again?"
I smirked at the young boy, "Well, you might see some place similar when you die."
Usopp paused at the mast as he peered around it to frown at me, "Not you. I doubt you're going any place good."
My lip curled into a snarl as I returned his glare, "You jerk!"
Kaori came up behind him and whacked the back of his head, "Stop being so rude!"
"You guys keep discussing the afterlife," Sanji said as he made his way towards the cabin, "Me? I'm gonna go put on a pot of coffee."
"Make dinner instead, Sanji!" Luffy demanded.
The cook clicked his tongue in frustration, "Are you ever not hungry? Have some coffee first and be patient, will ya!"
Kaori raised an eyebrow, "You want to give Luffy coffee? Are you sure about that?"
The rubberman frowned at her, "What's that supposed to mean?"
