I landed on the floor with a thud. And, of course, I just layed there and stared at the ceiling. No surprise. And yes, I was sliding in my socks. Again, no surprise.

I stayed there for a couple of minutes, just chillin on the floor.

We've been back for weeks now from California. Everything is good, I would say. Gatsby got out of his little faze soon after we came back. Still don't know what happened to him though. But, he's acting like normal now so, everything is all good. I think.

It's still fall here, slowly going into winter. But you know, it's pretty much cold here most of the time, except in the summer on occasion.

Right now, Gatsby and Nick were out doing their own thing, which left Karmen and I here along with the butlers and maids. I'm not really sure where Karmen is though. I'm just here laying on the floor.

A couple of minutes passed until Carmine soon appeared in front of me with a smile.

"Mrs. Kelsey, what are you doing?" he asked. I smiled brightly at him.

"I'm having fun on this floor." I said. Carmine chuckled. "Alright, well I wouldn't want to ruin your fun. Perhaps I'll see you later." Carmine said to me walking away.

"See you later!" I called out to him. After that I continued to lay on the floor for another good 10 minutes. Finally, I decided to get up.

After I got up, I decided to look for Karmen. So, I walked up the stairs and looked in her room for her first. When I didn't see her there, I decided to check the library. She wasn't there either. I literally had no idea where she could be after these two places. So, I just started randomly walking around the house, waiting for her to pop up somewhere.

I was walking by Gatsby's study when I heard a noise. I looked toward the door and just stared at it, making sure it wasn't just my imagination. I then suddenly heard the noise again. After that I just walked in, my curiosity increasing.

Sitting there, in Gatsby's swirly chair, was Karmen, spinning around repeatedly.

"Really? Have you been here all day?" I questioned her. Karmen looked at me, just now noticing my presence.

"No, only like, half the day." she said as she continued to spin inthe chair. I shook my head. "I've been looking for you!"

She suddenly stopped spinning and looked at me. "Well, you found me." she replied.

I couldn't help but smile. This was why we were friends.

"Have Gatsby and Nick come back yet?" Karmen then asked me. I shrugged. "I don't think so."

Karmen nodded. She then suddenly smirked. "So how's Nelsey?"

I tried not to smile, but failed miserably. "We're good." I said simply.

Karmen still continued to smirk. "And what does that mean?" she questioned.

I rolled my eyes. "It means we're.........good." I said again. It was all I could come up with.

Karmen laughed. "Okay then." "How's Katsby?" I quickly questioned her.

She blushed. "We're.......fine. And don't even ask me what that means!" she said before I could even question her further.

I laughed. "Okay then." I said mimicking her. She glared at me but soon laughed along too.

Just then, the sound of a car could be heard pulling into the driveway. Karmen and I simultaneously looked at each other. "They're back!" we both said at the same time.

In the amount of 3 seconds, we were both out the door and running down the stairs. When I got to the entrance, I immediately saw Nick standing there. So, being me, I ran and jumped in his arms. I have no idea how he catched me in time.

As his arms wrapped around me, I kissed his soft and familiar lips, adding to the whole moment.

When we did pull away, him still holding me, we both smiled at each other.

"How was your day?" I asked Nick. He shrugged. "It was good, but it felt like it was missing something."

I looked at him questioningly. "Really? What?"

He looked deep into my eyes and brought his lips close to mine, causing them to just graze over.

"You." he whispered and then firmly pressed his lips to mine. I couldn't help but smile as I kissed him back.
