Karmen's POV
The days were starting to get a little cooler. Which meant soon it would be fall.
Kelsey and I have been back for 2 months now. We're both extremely happy. It feels like we just came back yesterday.
I talk to Gatsby everyday, making up for the time lost those 7 months. I still have the necklace I wore that day, and since then I've been wearing it everyday. It's a reminder to me. A reminder to never lose hope.

I had no idea what I was doing today. I would probably just hang out with Gatsby all day, since I wasn't sure if Kelsey was here or not.
I walked to Kelsey's room to see if she was there. To my surprise, she was. She was laying upside down on her bed while staring at the ceiling.
When she heard me enter the room, she turned and smiled at me. "Heyyyy!" she said, still hanging upside down. I laughed.
"Hiiiii! I didn't think you would be here. I thought you would be with Nick somewhere. " I say back to her.
Kelsey shook her head. "Nahhh he had to go to work. So, I'm here."
I nodded. "Well, come on. Let's go do something." I say while grabbing her hand and pulling her up. She laughs and gets up. "Okay."
With that, we walk out the door and go to do something at least remotely interesting....

Kelsey and I have been walking for awhile now, not really knowing where we were going. We started from Gatsby's house and now it looked like we were downtown. I started to get hungry though, so we probably were going to stop soon.
"I still wonder who was in that car....." Kelsey trailed off while lookimg down at the sidewalk. I silently nodded.
None of us really talk about what happened that night. We just went on and pretended it never occured. Like those 7 months were just seconds.
It was kind of an eerie topic. The car never came up in conversation or anything. I guess we'll never know who it was....
"I'm hungry." I suddenly state out of the blue. "Me too." Kelsey reponds back.
"Let's get fries. I want fries." I say. Kelsey nods. "Okay."
Together, we walked to the nearest fast food looking place we saw. When we walked in, the both of us got fries and a burger, along with a drink. Then, we both sat at a table and ate our food.
"Do you think our parents would ever come here?" Kelsey asks me suddenly while eating a fry. I look at her.
"You mean West Egg? I don't know. We would have some explaining to do if they did." I respond back to her. She nods.
"What if either Nick or Gatsby ask to meet them?" she asks after a couple of seconds of silence.
I shrug. "Then we deal with that whenever it comes up."
Kelsey laughed. "Yeah, good idea."
We finished eating and walked out the door.
"What do we do n--" I start, but before I finish I hear someone calling Kelsey's name. We both turn and look to see Nick walking towrds us with a smile on his face.
Of course, Kelsey ran to him and jumped in his arms. I laugh and walk over to the both of them.
"What are you doing here?" Kelsey asks him with a smile.
"I got off work early, because I missed you." he said to her while looking down slightly and grinning. I smirked.
"And I just so happened to see you two walking so, here I am." Nick adds.
I nod and turn to see Kelsey staring at Nick with a huge grin on her face. My smirk gets bigger. Nelsey tho.
I suddenly felt kind of like a third wheel as I looked at them both. "Hey, I'm gonna go back to Gatsby's. I'll see you two later." I say as I begin to turn away.
"Oh, you don't have to go." Kelsey says as she turns to look at me. I shake my head. "No, it's okay. Gatsby is probably wondering where I'm at anyway."
Kelsey nods. "Okay, well, see you later! Stay blonde!" she says. I look at her weirdly but laugh.
"Um, okay. Stay.....weird." I say back. She laughs. "Always." she responds.
And with that, I walked away smiling. I have a weird friend.

When I arrived back at Gatsby's, I saw Carmine walking around dusting. When he heard me walk through the door, he turned and smiled at me.
"Hello Miss Karmen. Mr.Gatsby has been wondering where you were."
I nod. "Oh sorry, I was just out with Kelsey. Where is he now?" I ask.
"He's in his study." I nod again. "Okay, thanks Carmine!" I say as I begin to walk away.
"Your welcome Miss!" he say behind me.
I reach Gatsby's study and open the door. I walk in to see him staring off into space. As soon as he sees me though, he immediately stands up and walks over to me.
He then hugs me tight. "I was wondering where you've been."
I smile. "Yeah, sorry about that. I was just out with Kelsey."
Gatsby nods. "It's quite alright darling, I just got bored." I laugh.
"Bored? You don't seem like the type of person to get bored." I say to him.
Gatsby chuckles. "Ever since I met you and Kelsey, I feel like whenever you're not there I'm bored."
I smile up at him. Our lips soon meet, causing a chill to rake through my body.
And in that moment, Gatsby holding me close and me soaking in the whole moment, I realized that nothing would change, and nothing did change.
Everything was the way it was supposed to be, and should be.
