I was talking to Karmen about giraffes when suddenly I thought of something.
"You haven't had a party in a long time. And I mean a LONG TIME." I said to Gatsby who was sitting a little ways away from us.
He turned to me and nodded. "You're right, I haven't had a party in a long time. But there really has been no reason to. The only reason I was having the parties was to get Daisy's attention. And I don't need that anymore."
I nodded. "Yeah, but still, why not have another one?"
Gatsby shrugged. "I don't know. It's almost fall anyway, and no one wants to have a party when it's cold."
"So why not have a party tonight? It's still technically summer. And you haven't had one in awhile. And it is Saturday....." I say smirking at the end.
Gatsby looked to me then to Karmen. She was smiling and nodding rapidly. He chuckled and looked down.
"Come on Gatsby," I said, "One last party."

Everywhere you turned either a maid or a butler was carrying something or fixing something. Decorations were being hung outside and bartenders were already setting up. I could already tell this party was going to be bigger than usual.
Word already spread about the party, somehow. It was all anyone was talking about. It was even in a newspaper. Lol. The headline was: NINE PARTY-LESS MONTHS LATER, ONE MORE PARTY PLANNED FOR TONIGHT AT GATSBY'S!
Then the paper went on to talk about how everyone was going to be there, since it was going to be the last.
I stood on the balcony next to Gatsby overlooking everything being set up. He stood with his hands on the railing, looking deep in thought.
"What if she shows up?" he asked without looking at me. I stared straight ahead as well.
"So what if she does? You're taken." I say back.
Gatsby chuckled. "You're right, I am. So is Old Sport going to be here tonight?"
A wide grin spread across my face. "Yeah, he is." Gatsby saw the look on my face and laughed.
"You really love him, don't you darling?" he asked me.
I smiled and continued to look out from the balcony.
"Yeah, I do."

Karmen and I had already changed into our outfits for the party. Karmen's was a black dress with a white bow in the middle and a bedazzled collar, and mine was a light pink dress with a black bow in the middle with little ruffles.
After getting dressed, we both headed down the stairs. We both stood outside watching things being set up. Carmine spotted us and walked over with a smile.
"Hi Carmine!" Karmen and I said simultaneously as soon as we saw him. He chuckled. "Hello you two. How are you?" I grinned. "Excited for this party!"
Carmine chuckled again. "Yes well, it is the last so, it should be good."
Karmen nodded. "Well, I'll see you two later." Carmine said and walked away.
For awhile Karmen and I just stood and watched everyone. But then, Karmen spoke.
"What are you going to do if Jordan shows up?" she asked. I laughed humorlessly.
