(A little time skip in this chapter, fast-forwarding to winter:)
Kelsey's POV
It was winter, and snow was drifting outside gracefully.
Nick and I were at Gatsby's while Karmen and Gatsby went out to buy stuff to make cookies and hot chocolate. :)
I sat in front of the fireplace watching the little flames flicker. Nick left about 5 minutes ago. He said he had to go get something. So, that left me sitting here in my own thoughts.
I suddenly remembered Gatz was still in Karmen's room from last night, since I let her borrow him. She still has nightmares sometimes about what happened, you know, the whole car thing. :( Whenever she does though, I let her borrow Gatz.
Speaking of Karmen, Gatsby has been asking me for ideas of how to propose to Karmen. Which, I was happy to give him some tips, even though most of the time I was just fangirling and not actually helping him. Oh well.
Nick soon came back with a faint smile on his face. I smiled back at him.
"Can you stand up for a second?" Nick asked looking down at me.
I gave him a confused look but stood up anyway.
Once I stood up, Nick kissed me then kneeled down. And as soon as he did, I felt my heart stop and my eyes widen.
"Kelsey, from the time I first met you, until now, I've fallen more and more in love with you. From your smile to your weird, yet cute personality, everything about you, I love. Ever since you came here, I've known what it feels like to be truly happy. And, I want to feel like that for the rest of my life. So, Kelsey, will you do me the honor, and marry me?"
How could I say no to that?
I nodded my head vigorously with a humongous grin on my face. Nick smiled wide and slid the ring on my finger, after that he stood up.
I didn't know what to say or think, so I did the only thing I could do in a situation like that.
I kissed Nick. And we stayed like that, letting the fire flicker softly and the light illuminate around us.
