"Come on baby your daddy's coming to get you." I said to Jaylen as I waited for him at the bottom of the staircase.

I saw him coming down the stairs dragging his over night bag behind him with a frown. When he got to the last step I knelt down in front of him.

"What's wrong Jay?"

"Why can't you and daddy live together?"

He was now four and he was young but he did ask alotta questions.

"Well I'm with Shaud and your daddy's with Shauni."

"I don't like Shauni." He said looking down.

"Why not?"

"Shauni's mean."

"How is she mean?" Before he could respond I heard a knock at the door.

I got up and grabbed Jaylen's hand leading him to the door.

I opened it to see Javon.

"Daddy!" Jaylen said jumping into his arms.

"Wassup little man." Javon replied ruffling his hair.

"Aye don't do that I just fixed it."

"He ain't no girl don't be fixing his hair. You want a hair cut Jay?"

"You better not touch my baby's hair." I said pointing a finger at him causing. His to slap it.

"Yea yeah."

"Don't yea yea. And hey you need to check your girl." He straightened up.

"My girl has a name...and for what?"

"Jay says she's mean to him." I said touching Jaylens chubby cheeks.

"She's not mean to him I'm almost always around so don't do that you don't see me coming around telling you to check your dude."

"Yea cause her dude knows better than to disrespect a child that's not his." Shaud said coming behind me and wrapping an arm around my waist.

"It's cool baby I got it." I said softly removing his hand from my waist. I can tell he was pissed.

"Yeah whatever we gotta go."

"Give mommy kisses." I said bending down as I pecked Jaylen's lips twice.

"Love you booka."

"Love you more mommy." I closed the door and walked upstairs. I was going to meet up with my friend Kenya who I had met at a shoot about two years ago. I had a few acquaintances but Kenya was my bestfriend. I still haven't made up with Blake who had gotten very close to Erica, Amonnie and Javon's new girlfriend Shauni. It makes her mad that I'm very close with Cole and Dayci who calls me her auntie. Amonnie Shauni and Blake would always mean mug me and whisper when I would go to pick up Jaylen from Javon's house but it didn't bother me. Erica was cool even though we weren't really friends after that stunt she pulled. I had Kenya Ronnie and my son which was all I needed.

I walked to my closet and threw on a long gray maxi dress with a slit on the side. I straightened my hair and put on a head chain. I put on a all gold pandora bracelet and a necklace with my name engraved in it. I turned around yet jumped when I saw Shaud. Me and Shaud had been together for about 2 years now. On a good day he was the perfect man but everyday he loved my son and treated him as his own which was all that I could ask for.

"Don't do that!" I said holding my chest as I caught my breath.

"Where you going?" He said as he looked me up and down.

"Out with Kenya."

"Nah change that."

"I like this." I said turning around to walk to my closet.

I felt a large piece of my hair being grabbed as I was thrown against the wall. He grabbed me by my neck pulling me up so that we were face to face.

"Change it. You don't need to be all dressed just to go see Kenya. No niggas need to be tryna fuck with you especially if I'm not around." He looked me in my eyes and kissed my forhead before letting me drop to the floor. He took out a band of money before throwing it at me. His way of apologizing.

"Buy something nice." He said before walking out of the room like nothing happened. I took the money and threw it in the bag where I put the rest of his bribing money. I don't even know how much money I had saved up from him but it was alotta money in there. He was a football player so he had money to spend. More specifically he had money to give me everytime he hit me. He's usually hit me then kiss me and that would lead to sex and he'd say he was sorry then give me money and I'd just throw it in the bag in my closet. One day I was gonna get away from him that day just wasn't decided yet.

I went into my closet throwing on a large black and white PINK sweater that I brought to fit me like a dress. I threw on some all white hurache a and threw my hair into a tight bun. I grabbed my silver Rolex silver studs and my mcm purse and went out the room. I was still dressy but this was simple I guess. I walked passed him sitting on the living room couch. He didn't say anything so I'm assuming he approved.

"Bye I love you give me a kiss." He said still looking at the tv that was on sports center.

I walked around the couch and kissed his cheek yet he pulled me in his lap and gently grabbed my face.

"I really love you baby I swear and I'm gonna get help for you but please don't leave me." I said constantly kissing my lips. I just nodded.

"Are you gonna leave me Jo?"

"I'm not gonna leave you Shaud but you gotta help yourself okay?" He nodded and kissed my forehead and then my lips still holding both sides of my face.

"I love you Jo."

"I love you too." I sighed before getting up. He slapped my ass while I was doing so.

"Ouch." I yelled as I hit his shoulder.

He laughed

"It was there."

"Bye silly" I said before making my way out the door.

I hoped he gets help I love him too much to lose him...I can't lose anyone else.
