Today was the day of the baby pshower and the mood was joyful. No one had arrived yet but the atmosphere was great. It's been a month since that shit with Stacy and I still hadn't told Journey. I planned on doing so but I didn't for the simple fact that I didn't want her stressing while she's pregnant. The guilt is eating me alive but I feel that this is the best way to handle it. After a while everyone started to arrive and the backyard was packed. Nana and Nicki even flew in and to say that they were all over Jo was and understatement. I looked at Jo and smiled as she talked with all her family and friends. She looked at me while talking to her mom and smiled. How could I be so dumb as to hurt this wonderful woman?

Today was my baby shower and I was so happy. I was surrounded by my family and friends.

"Okay Jay damn." Nicki yelled at Jaylen as he pulled her from one place to another. He sure missed his auntie.

"Don't yell at my baby let him love you." I laughed as I walked over to Javon. He had a bunch of his cousins here and I was happy to see him smiling as much as he was. He looked a bit off though.

"Hey baby." I said kissing him.

"Aww look at yall I knew yall was in love since we was like 6."

"Shutup Jiovonni." I said laughing. Most of his cousins had grew up with us so they were family to me and Jiovonni, his brother Anthony and his girlfriend Alana were moving down here from Florida.

"Don't pay him no mind." She said as she leaned her back on him while his arms were wrapped around her. They were cute as hell.

"You shouldn't be out here with these high ass heels Jo." He said pointing at my brown heel boots.

"What the fuck is this?"

"I'm fine nigga I ain't even showing."

"Yea yea." He said
Smacking my ass.

I walked over to my nana who was sitting in the chair smiling at everyone interacting.

"Hey nana."

"Hey baby." She placed a hand on my thigh.

"Why you over here by yourself?"

"I'm just observing."

I looked over to see my mom and Nicki talking I loved how she put forth alotta effort and came back into our lives like we never left.

"Yea it's beautiful." I said squinting.

"How are you Jo? You seem happy."

"I am nana...I really am." My eyes instantly found Javon.

"He makes me happy and I know that he loves me just as much as I love him."

"How can I argue with that. Just make sure yall both are equally in. You have a beautiful child and another on the way yall gotta learn that yall won't be able to keep giving each other second chances and you need to learn that everything isn't what it seems. Now I'm not telling you not to feel what you feel because all that I ask is he loves you and makes you happy but just be aware. You can't be that naive little girl that you sometimes have the tendency to be. Your a mother now okay ?" I nodded because I really was listening to what she was saying but there isn't anything anyone can say to take away my happiness.
