"Seriously mom, dad - we're keenly aware of what lies ahead, and we're ready for anything!"

After everything had been explained and resolved, the Armstrong family decided to celebrate - not only the important step Becky and Freen were about to take, but also to honor pure and true love, the kind that overcomes everything.

It became a real private party. Rawee and Richie called Num personally, insisting on her presence, because only then, they said, would the family be complete.

Freen offered to go pick up her mother, but Richie jr volunteered instead and drove to mrs Chankimha's café to bring back the future mother-in-law of his sister.

By the time everyone had gathered, the hotel room was filled with warmth, laughter and music. Candles glowed softly across the room, and the long table overflowed with food from every corner of the family's cultures - thai dishes, italian classics, british favorites, all sharing the same space, just like people around it.

Num arrived looking touched and slightly overwhelmed, but Becky greeted her with a kiss on the cheek and guided her inside, as if she belonged there forever.

"You do belong here, mom!" The caucasian girl whispered warmly, making the older woman tear up.

Later that evening, while their parents laughed together in the next room, Freen and Becky slipped out onto the terrace overlooking the city lights. The night air was cool, and Freen leaned against the railing while Rebecca stood behind her, wrapping both arms around her waist.

"What are you thinking about, my life?" The thai/british girl asked softly.
"Our future." Freen replied. "For the first time it feels real. 🥰"

Becky kissed her shoulder.

"Tell me my love."

Freen smiled.

"A home full of noise. Family dinners, children running through the halls. My mother visiting whenever she wants. Your parents spoiling everyone."

Becky laughed.

"Well, at least the last part is guaranteed. Hahahahaha."
"And you?" Freen asked, turning in her arms.

Becky's eyes softened.

"I want mornings with you! Coffee together before work. Arguing over what color to paint the walls. Picking schools, planning vacations. Growing old by your side..."

Freen's breath caught slightly.

"You make forever sound easy! Becky, you know... if I could relieve my life, I'd change only one thing: I'd try to meet you sooner and start a life with you as soon as possible!"
"No." Becky said melting, brushing a stand of hair from her girlfriend's face. "You make forever worth it, my love!"

Inside, Rawee suddenly called out from the doorway:

"If you two are done being cinematic, come cut the cake."

They burst into laughter and went back in.

The celebration lasted late into the night, full of dancing, teasing, speeches and more than one emotional toast. Richie sr raised his glass proudly:

"To courage!" He declared. "To family, and to the two women who reminded all of us what love is supposed to look like!"

Everyone applauded.

Three days later, before sunrise, the whole family accompained Freen and Becky to the airport.

Rawee adjusted Freen's scarf motherishly while Num pressed snacks into Becky's hands despite the first class tickets.
