Spencer's POV
This happened more times than I could count on my two hands. Aria and I met up most days since Ezra was so busy with work. We met on and off for weeks on different days but we had one day that belonged solely to us and that was Wednesday. Aria had quit her job as an English teacher to pursue her career as a musician which meant she had all this free time that she could fill and I was happy that she chose to fill that free time with me. On Wednesdays Ezra had to work late, something to do with grading papers and all that good stuff, so Aria and I spent the whole night together. Sometimes we just talked about small matters and worries, it was so nice just to be in the company of Aria but, other nights, we would be a whole lot more intimate. Today was Wednesday and I couldn't wait to meet up with Aria later tonight at our motel that was just outside of Rosewood. I think Hanna was starting to notice my sudden change in mood because she was always giving me suspicious glances but she never said anything. I think she was just happy that I was happy. And I am happy. I've always belonged with Aria and even though we can't publicly be together we can still be together in each other's company and that's all that matters. "Are you going to be okay staying here?" Hanna asks. She had been in Rosewood for three weeks with me since I was still working on my case and she had decided that three weeks was enough for her. I only had a few last details to my case left and then I could return to New York with Hanna, but, I was dragging it out for as long as I could.
"I'm going to be great." I say with a smile. Hanna raises her eyebrows at me.
"Are you high or am I missing something?" She questions sitting beside me on the bed.
"I'm high on life." I reply still smiling.
"Okay, where is the real Spencer Hastings and what have you done with her?" Hanna asks sarcastically. I laugh at her and shake my head.
"I'm trying something out." I tell her.
"Something or someone?" Hanna asks suspiciously.
"What do you mean?" I ask trying to play it cool but failing with a smile spreading across my face. How could just the thought of her make me smile like a complete idiot?
"It looks to me like you're in love." Hanna stares at me now being completely serious. I let out a nervous laugh at her words.
"W-what? No." I stutter. I wasn't in love, I was just happy. That's all I was. I was definitely not in love, no sir. I couldn't be in love with Aria, it was too soon to fall for her again, and not to mention the fact that she's engaged. But then again, did I ever really fall out of love with Aria? I'm not so sure I did.
"Sure you're not, then why are you smiling every two seconds and do you really think I don't hear you when you sneak into our room in the middle of the night?" Hanna asks. Wow, she heard me every time? It's no wonder that she was suspicious.
"Fine, I'm seeing someone but it's not serious." I reply. I wanted to talk about it with Hanna, after all, she's my best friend but I can't.
"It's not serious?" Hanna asks in disbelief. "Who is this mysterious woman that I don't know?"
"I can't tell you that." I reply quickly. Hanna stares at me for a long moment her blue eyes sparkling in the midday light before she sighs.
"You're impossible." She says.
"I'll take that as a compliment." I give Hanna a smile as she stands up. "I'm going to miss you."
"You won't be long will you?" Hanna asks.
"I don't think so, just a couple more days and everything will be sorted out and I'll be ready to come join you in our apartment in New York." I say helping her with her bags.
"What about your mystery woman? What are you going to do when you come back to New York?" Hanna asks. It was a good question because I honestly had no idea what we would do. New York was just too far away from Rosewood, it's not like I could make trips to our motel or have secret meetings with her anymore. I shrug not wanting to talk or think about it anymore.

"You be carful driving okay." I give Hanna my most serious look. I don't know what I would do if something happened to Hanna, she has been my rock through so many bad moments in my life.
"Don't worry Spence." She wraps me in a hug and I return it with equal force squeezing her tightly. I didn't want to let go of her - I wanted her to stay. "Can't breathe." Hanna jokes.
"I'm going to miss you so much." I mutter into her shoulder. I feel her ribs vibrate as she laughs.
"I'm going to miss you too Spence, but it's only two days, I think we'll be okay." She says. I reluctantly let go of her and pull back to see her fully.
"What if I need you in those two days?" I ask.
"Just call me. I don't care if it's three in the morning or three in the afternoon, if its you, then I'm going to answer." Hanna says. She's smiling but I know that she's being one hundred percent serious.
"Tell Caleb I said hi." I tell Hanna.
"Don't worry, I will." She replies. Caleb was back in New York, he was some hot shot web designer and couldn't get any free time to come with us to Rosewood.
"I'll see you in two days." I say as a final goodbye.
"See you in two days." Hanna confirms before walking away with a wave over her shoulder.
