Spencer's POV
"Spencer where are we?" Aria asks. I had my hand covering her eyes and I was guiding her forward. I could tell that Aria was smiling which caused me to smile as well. I lean forward, close to her ear, my lips just brushing her ear."Close your eyes." I order in a whisper.
"How do you know I don't already have my eyes closed?" Aria questions. She sounded highly amused and I roll my eyes at her.
"Aria." I warn.
"Alright, okay, they're closed. I promise." Aria replies. I remove my hands slowly and move around to the front of her checking that they were in fact closed. I take a few steps back before straightening out.
"Open them." I say grinning. Aria opens her eyes slowly, her eyes find me first and then find the surprise that I had been talking about.
"Spencer?" Aria asks confused. "What is all this?" I had set up a romantic dinner: candles gave off a romantic light, a blanket was spread over the ground and a picnic basket sat by the blanket. The thing that was probably confusing Aria the most was probably the little black box sitting in the centre of the blanket. Aria looks from the blanket to me, a small frown on her face.
"Surprise." I say leading her to the blanket.
We sit side by side and I pick the little black box up in my hands. "I guess you don't really understand what's going on, huh?" I ask playfully. Aria looks up to meet my eyes instead of staring at my hands that held the box. "Aria, I love you so much and if we're going to raise a child then I want to do it right. I want to be with you for the rest of my life, I can't imagine being with anyone else." I open the box revealing the ring that was embedded in the soft cushion inside.
"Oh my god." Aria brings her hand up to her mouth. I knew why she was so surprised, the ring inside was the same engagement ring that I had bought for her five years ago. "I didn't think you would keep it." Aria marvels at the ring as I remove it from the small box. I had received the ring via courier a few weeks after the break up that practically destroyed me.
"I didn't either." I confess taking her hand in mine. "Do you think we're moving too fast?" I ask hesitantly. Aria takes a moment to reply - probably thinking about what I had said.
"No." Aria replies. "It feels like we never even broke up. I'm so sorry Spencer." Aria puts her head in her hands removing her hand from mine.
"Hey, why are you sorry?" I ask scooting closer to her. I could see that she was crying and I felt really bad all of a sudden.
"Because I was stupid! We could have been engaged already, you wouldn't have had to propose again, we could be married, we could be having our own child and no Ezra." Aria sobs. I cup her face in my hands focusing her attention on my eyes.
"Don't say that, we're here right now. We still found our way back to each other." I place her hand on my heart noticing that her breathing was steadying. "You're always going to be right here, in my heart, forever and I think we're stronger than what we were before." Aria smiles at me and I wipe away her tears with my thumb.
"Yes." Aria says after a small silence. I raise an eyebrow at her in a questioning manor and she laughs. "Yes I'll marry you."
"Are you sure?" I ask playfully. "I mean, I've heard that I'm quite high maintenance."
"Well, I happen to like maintaining you." Aria replies holding her hand out for me to place the ring on her finger. I take her hand and slip the ring onto her wedding finger.
"Good because we're going to be together forever." I say kissing her hand after I had put the ring on her finger.
"Forever." Aria confirms. I smile at that before pulling out a bottle of sparkling cider. At first Aria looked a little confused but I quickly answer her unspoken question.
