Chapter 44: Lost Days II

"I can't believe after all this you still got a 46 for Maths.."

"Ow!"

Receiving a soft smack from the boy in front of me, I could only whimper and sob lightly.

"Hey! Kyou-kun! That is not nice!"

"Ah, you be quiet!"

"E-eh, senpai, please stop fighting."

"Huh?!", the two elder unisonly spoke up to their junior who tried to stop their fight.

Looking at the scene playing in front of me, I could not help but giggle with glee and the others soon followed after.

I would never have thought that all four of us would be together like this. I mean, all our personalities are very conflicting. We have the harsh and cold Kyouhei, a kind and loving Mizuki and the quiet and reserved Konoha. Then there's the cheerful and bubbly me.

Really, no one would expect all four of us would be this close in such a short period.

Instinctively, my right hand began to slightly hold my left hand. To my joy, there was no sting when I felt pressure being applied on my left hand.

'Good, the painkillers are working.'

Unbestknown to me, a pair of eyes was staring at me the whole time. Before I could realise this fact, an idea popped into my head.

"Say! There's a bakery shop that just opened nearby that I want to go to!"

"Huh? Well go then." Kyouhei deadpanned at my words with that passived face of his. Though that passive face was then replaced with an annoyed look when Mizuki tackled him into a hug while carassing his cheeks.

"Kyou-kun, you dummy! She wants us to go with her!"

"Huh?!"

"Isn't that right Kono-chii? Huh, Kono-chii?"

To their surprise, Konoha was already gone and was with me by the door.

"What are you two waiting for, huh?"

"Hihi! Glad at least someone is eager!"

"Uwah! Not fair! Come on, Kyou-kun! You are coming with us whether you like or not!"

"You're already dragging me. What else can I do?"

"Come on!"

Throughout the entire walk, it was never a quiet walk. Like always of course. After all, with Mizuki constantly being clingy to Kyouhei while I laugh at the play.
Nevertheless, Mizuki has always had some sort of affection to Kyouhei. Was it love, I wonder? She never told me anything about it but I guess it is. While I would love to support my best friend with her love life, I don't think I could...

Taking a glance to the right, I saw Konoha pouting at the sight. A playful grin made it's way to my face.

"Eh~? Kono-chii, don't tell me... you are jealous?"

"Wh- what?! No way!"

It was an obvious fact that Konoha does love Mizuki. After all, with how he always put her before anything and the fact he is always looking at her... sigh. So tragic. I have to see a love triangle unfold before me.

Too bad, Mizuki was too focused on Kyouhei that she failed to see Konoha's love for her. All the while, Kyouhei does not seem amused at all with being the center of this predicament.

As for me, I really don't know which one to support!!

"Mi- mizuki-senpai! Wh- what will you be eating?"
