I made an error in my judgement. I, out of everyone, should have known very well not to act according to my feelings.

I knew.... yet why did I..?

Right now, under this rain, I was devoid of any emotions. The pure rage, the overwhelming sadness that had swallowed me earlier... all gone, washed away by the rain as it bathes me.

I clenched my fist as tight as I possibly could. It was too tight to the point that I could feel something warm flowing from my fist, running through my fingers.

I did not even bother to look down at that hand of mine that was screaming in pain...

"Heh..."

A wicked grin made it to my face as I glare at the dark and gloomy sky.

"Pain, huh?...... "

It was stupid of me to even think of letting myself be overwhelmed by this pain... she... that girl went through even much more worse than this throbbing pain that I felt... and how did she deal with it?

A smile.

Before I could continue this train of thought, my phone vibrated and immediately, I brought it up to my face. The message that popped in my phone was enough to quickened my heart beat and kick start the adrenaline in me. Ignoring the intense from gripping the phone, I dashed.

Aside from the adrenaline and panic attack, I could only be overwhelmed by an intense regret for all that I had done...

Everything....

Everything took this path that started a year ago...

...

The sounds of the chair clattering echoed in this empty classroom and a young girl with jet black hair stood abruptly before she hid her hands behind her back.

My eyes narrowed at this sight.

I have feign ignorance for far too long. I could not stand it anymore. Her smile that was so loving and full of life. Only to be hiding an endless pit of sorrow and pain behind that smile... even with that patch on her cheek, a smile was still able to manifest on her and she walked towards me.

"I need to go to the washroom, for a while."

I gave no reply but before her shoulder could brush pass mine, I blocked her only pathway out of this empty classroom with my left hand. She jerked backwards with a shock expression present on her and without giving any time to recover, I swiftly grabbed hold of the hand that she hid behind her wih my right hand.

It was only for a few seconds before she hastily pulled away and traced back until her back was against the glass window, but a few second was enough for me to get a clear clarification to everything that had been in my mind.

"Why.... why did you hide it?"

"Wh- what are you talking about Kyou-kun?"

It was then, I felt a sudden increase in my temper. How could she still hide it even after all that I have seen. It was obvious. The bloodied wrappings that had covered her entire arm.... that white patch that was hiding nothing else but a bruised cheek... everything.

"WHY WON'T YOU TELL ANYONE THAT YOU WERE ABUSED?!"

The sudden spiked in the loudness of my voice made her shrink in fear but as the message was sent to her clearly, her life immediately turned lifeless and a smile graced itself on her face. It was shocking. No... shock would not be the right word... It was... it was terrifying.....

She looked so broken...

"Hihi. Kyou-kun, that's not a nice joke."

My left hand that was blocking the door faltered and it immediately slumped back downwards. However, I did not give up. I wanted to let her know that this was wrong. It was hurting her...
